I know that DLC's from Origins will not carry over as stated before by BioWare.

But was
said (i read it somewhere) that i could load my characters from DAO in the new Awakening.
Since Shale is a DLC (and
dlc's will not carry over), what will happen? Anyone knows if i'll be able to use Shale?

She is the best tanker ever :/

thank you

Regards,
RaphaelDDL

Only Ohgren is making it to Awakening for whatever his story will be. Don't worry though! There are all new companions to make nice with! I'm looking forward to seeing the new folks.

the only DLC thing that shall carry over are the power of blood talents, from Wardens Keep.

and with the release date of RTO for ps3, there isn't really any reason to buy that DLC since awakenings get released a couple days after.

Well, I'm getting it for the gameplay/story line, which I don't need to transfer over to Awakening, so...

As far as Shale goes, none of our companions will carry over, save Oghren, though others will make a cameo. You're taking over your role as the new Warden Commander of Ferelden. That means a new location, new duties, and new Wardens to recruit. Maybe we'll see our friends again some day, but for now, we have important business to take care of.

You can import YOUR character, and that is it.

Sorry tis not true, RTO DLC items will carry over minimally. Check the updated Awakenings thread.

I wont be suprised if some other DLC items make it thru the magical Awakenings barrier as well. It has the potential to hurt future sales otherwise.

Something I am wondering that was not addressed durring the live sneak peek Friday (and I'm way too tired to try and hunt and search the forums for this answer)... what about us players who chose to have our character marry Alistair?  What happens to that marriage/romance as it was stated there will be no romance in DAA?  How does my character (since I married Alistair) move forward if Alistair is just a cameo in DAA???

Yeah, kinda pointless to have RTO carry over since no PS3 owners have even got RTO and there is only 8 days until Awakening is released.

actually it makes perfect sense. no one would buy rto with awakening right round the corner if none of the items carried over. the fact that you can take a few decent items to start awakening with makes it the only reason people would buy it.

I dont think the DLC item carry over issue is a huge concern. Old items will be replaced with new ones fairly early in the expansion if i understand correcrtly. Yes, it is unfortunate that the RTO release is so close to the expansion release, but i still believe it will be worth the five dollars. I enjoy in depth storylines in games and appreciate any efforts to further elaborate on events in the DA universe. I do agree that an earlier release would have been nice, but since it's out of the players hands, what can you do? I'm just happy it's finally coming to PS3. DA has one of the best storylines i've experienced in a game, and i hope they keep producing new DLC/expansions in the future.

Ok. I am a new DA player. I love the game and am excited that Awakening is coming. I am confused as to what will carry over from DaO? Do we just get our character? Or the items, or the gold accumulated? I read something about the DLC, but I wanted to know what, if anything carried over to Awakening?

Well they won't be, so don't hold your breath too long or you'll pass out on the discussion room floor.  And nobody wants that. :-)

Everything in your  inventory and any items from Return to Ostagar will carry over, items from other DLC (Stone Prisoner, Warden's keep) will not. ANY items (regardless of whether or not they are from DLC) in your storage chest at Soldier's Peak will not.

I guess the biggest thing for me is that I would "really" like to be able to enter Awakenings with my Blood Dragon or Warden Commander armor and especially the Starfang sword. Those are the two sets that visually appealed to me most. Is it possible to mod them back in? Possibly a patch making them importable?

By the by, there appears to be an "unofficial" patch that puts them back in.

Oops, wrong thread, my bad... bloody search tom foolery.
