It can't be helped, he turned on me, I think his approval is not high enough. I feel bad about it myself, it is like one of those thing you wish you can go back in time and do something to prevent it from happening. *sigh* ah well, didn't have much use for him anyway since I'm a rogue LoL...I do miss the bosom dialogue with Wynne though

Lion.. is not just the problem to have back Lel or Morrigan... but to have back them with our characters... What if we would find them a day while we are playing a journey with some new character ?? And our old character?! Dead? Broked with them? Awwww... BIG HEARTBREAK !!!

Have any of you actually gotten to the point Zev opens up to you? tells you why he took on the contract to assassin the GW's? etc? "sighs" I think i need a moment of silence for the death of poor Zevran! "giggles"

My male rogue was not amused by the assasination attempt and slit his troat after interrogating him.
All my other characters let him live however.

Had a really funny banther from him two days ago, first time ever I had a party banther with 3 people joining in, he started explaining to Shale I think that you should never kill something as beautiful as Morrigan without bedding her first... Can't remember the exact words but it was dead funny.

I agree that would suck... I think however considering the complains of a lot of people now is that it isn't just to have them back but to continue their story. One girl even mentioned she wouldn't play her Origins characters in Awakening because they romanced Zevhran and he was so caring and protective he would never let her go on a mission alone...
I just think that really illustrates well how people feel about their Dragon Age journey... They don't want new characters they want to continue the adventures with their own character.

Not sure, he did tell me he wanted to buy some Antivian Leather boots and he would buy them if he got back, was that the reason?

I'd like to see "some" of our origional characters come back.. I want some new ones too though. Maybe some of the old ones could be optional. If they were your romanctic interest, you could have the option of seeking them out and bringing them back? Something like your own personal mission. Go find your love for the next grand story! "like a side quest" That would be super nifty!

yer i agree liso and they should give you more quest of your companions so you can get to know them better and improve your rating with them

Same here, my guy went out to find Morrigan and unless it was Morrigan that told him to go save the world once again I doubt he would have turned around.
Its my theory however that if they do want to continue the romances (they are after all still there) in a sequel, then they can't really do so in an expansion because not everyone plays those. That IS however just a theory, just because it makes sense to me doesn't necessarily make it true hehe.

Well I'd like to say what is imho the real reason for our feelings with our virtual characters, and why we are so attached to them... but I fear I might be a little melodramatic...

Yeah kinda spoiled the reason why people play DAO for hundred of hours trying to unlock all possible scenario, romances, ending etc when in the expansion it has almost little to no bearing at all in DAOA. I can understand about there is no time for romance though, maybe the threat doesn't give much time for the PC to do much of anything else other than the plotline. And think about it, the Awakening story is focused on Orlesian Grey Warden who took charge of Amaranthine coz The Warden (you) sacrifice him/herself to kill the Archdemon (which I think is the real ending for DAO).



And even if Morrigan carry the god-powered baby, it wouldn't be until a couple of years from the DAO ending that they'll try to make this scenario fit into a good storyline to play. So we might be looking at DA2 or DA3 LoL

If you look at the characters they brought back as cameos in this expansion, they are all expandable characters like Wynne, Anora, Oghren, etc... Alistair is in it but his task can be the same as Anora (his task being expandable his character not).

i just wish this expansion would hurry up so that i can play it instead of getting annoyed over it then if its as bad as im expecting at least i'll know

I'm not sure I agree with the theory of the "real ending" of the story. Simply because..... It is human nature to survive. The dark ritual is FAR to tempting as it give the option not to die, The ablity to keep your life, and the life you have started. Be-it with Leliana, Alistair, Anora, Zev etc.. AND! to have Morrigan back later. Which they have said we will be seeing her again.. I am sure that is not an expansion though. It will most likely be DA2,..

I still have high hopes for the expansion story wise. I'll just approach it as a business trip for my character however while Morrigan is watching (or hatching) the kid!

well we know that in awakening that for the trailer alistair is king in it so maybe that was meant to be their intention from the start

Considering they offered multiple endings and already started working on DA2 right after DAO was released (if not sooner especially story wise)... And the fact that the ritual offer is offered to you even if you sent Morrigan away, don't give her the grimoire, don't kill Flemeth... This feels like its important... Also there are multiple ending possibilities where you live and only 1 ending where you die...

I think they had the core story (the red thread if you will)  finished before they even started on DAO and I have a feeling all those major plot choices are part of it.

Why offer multiple endings and have a character shape a world, if you're going to canon it in sequel?

that trailer was already explained. They said we would see either Alistair, Anora, Loghain etc depending on your end choices.. Seems these choices will be the only true ones that count. 

I have never done this  "shudders the thought"  Some have had Anora order Alistairs execution. However??? It does not actually happen in DA:O correct? You do not actually see this happening?

I don't want to meet her with another character and have her confess to a total stranger.

Where are you gonna get all this optimism? Please tell me your secret... because I'd really like to be as you  

Did that post made me look optimistic? My mistake, because(sadly) i am not optimistic about it.

It's
far more likely to see your character's name somewhere in the Morrigan
codex sometime in the future. But a reunion? Hard to imagine.
