In a regular hero situation, I too would like that. But for one thing, we are talking about a game here and Bioware is not going to go down that path...Fable is already being torn apart in the same fashion, seems like they should change that title to "Sims RPG". Also with the Warden's special condition, they are terminal. They will die in about thirty years. The Warden has responsibilites and it would be plain selfish to drop everything to start a famiy not to mention unfair to the family itself. In times of no blight, Wardens had fun with each other and helped put ends to any possible darkspawn war bands so there lives are not completely worn by duty. I am saying that any real Warden knows the sacrifice takes a toll throughout their entire lives. Like Wynne said, you can try to lead a normal life, but it would not work out.
If you want to roleplay your character that way I am fine with that, but I will say your character is selfish. I just don't think that a real Warden would keep those close ties with romances knowing his responsibilies must come first. Like I said before, Bioware must push the Warden in a certain direction to evolve the story, much like you had to join the Grey Wardens and much like you had to defeat the blight. There were no options to pick up your things and go. Now in Awakening Bioware is saying, your romances left and none of your companions will be new romances. They are saying quite literally, quit f***ing around, you have too much s*** to do.

There isn't really a definition on a 'real' Warden, truth is Wardens reflected through Origins come from a wide range of backgrounds some more noble and some very questionable to downright dark, and their motivations can be very different, particularly concerning those forced into being Wardens. Riordan states those in the Anderfels are basically that realms rulers and like that situation (possibly involving themselves in local politics more then actually monitoring and attacking darkspawn and linking themselves more with ordinary people which is definitely Riordan's view on them), Jory joined for noble reasons, Alistair because Duncan saved him from the Chantry and became a father figure. Some think that honour and nobility in actions is an important part of being a Warden (Alistair for example) and others that anything is justified to meet a situation (Avernus). Our own Warden can be very much forced into this position. All Wardens feel the darkspawn and that does bind them to fight it, but the degree to which they do, how, and to what extent the rest of their lives are left as secondary to this differs from Warden to Warden (and from how we RP them).
So there is no 'real' Warden as such, and different Wardens would think differently about situations (also many LI in these stories are all perfectly capable combatants so the need to leave them behind in these situations is not always essential either)
