I like Alistair too - even without a romantic option. Voice acting by Steve Valentine is great!  He has some of the best lines. I'm imagining that he will be returning and not just as a cameo.  I thought I read in the Wiki that he was David Gaider's fave character.  I know that I would want my favorite character to recur and recur. So maybe...fingers crossed...

Steve Valentine brought Alistair to life. I do not think they could have made a better VO choice. Those who were able to order his execution just make me cringe!!      hehe

hmmmmm true if awakening turns out ok if not february will be my worst month

i couldnt kill alistair its too painful to even think of it
And btw no play it when it comes and tell me if it is worth me playing it or whether  not to that way i wont feel like smashing my pc if my decions dont get noticed. Would appreciate it liso

Okay. I would "almost" agree to this. however......

1) the pc's had no choice but to join. Even if they agreed willingly. The scenarios are set up, you ARE going to be a Grey Warden

2) Being a Grey Warden does not cancel out your human nature. Or "person" nature. since I need to cover other races.

3) Regardless of the duties of a Grey Warden. It is not natural to become a machine to a cause.

Now, having said that. I am not stressing over continuation to the origins or main pc's at this point. Looking at it as "Duty and responsibility" however. Really takes human nature out of the grand scheme of things. Which is not at all natural

For the first statement, I stated that in the post you took might one quote from. As for the "person" nature statements and how it's not natural to become a machine to the cause, I agree that it would be hard for a person to accept the role and leave everything in the dust. I am saying though, it would be irresponsible not to do it.  Duncan saved your life to serve and I think that should be honored. There is such thing as a real Grey Warden, Duncan was basically it. It was said by Riordian (w/e)  that Duncan knew sooner than the rest how much they had to give up to become a Grey Warden. There can be romance and passion, but it cannot supercede your duty/responsibility. If the game is to go on, then the PC needs to be a Warden. The PC needs to follow a certain path. A river may wind and turn, but the water still all collects in the same place.

well.. seems like a opened a great debate with my previous posts
I must remember you that after all Wynnie in following dialogues agree with your "have being falled in love" and says that she understood that there is "something special" beetween you and your LI. It means that she accepts the fact that a Warden may also have emotion and feelings.
BTW.. I am sure that  BW will be able to find a good balance in order to satisfy any point of view... and we will have some moments where we will be more "focused" on our mission as Grey Wardens (like in Awakening) and moments (expecially in main games) where we will have the occasion to live our personal and private moments...

Seriously...I could listen to that man talk all day & night!  He could read the phone book and I'd be interested. Amazing acting - you could hear the facial expressions in his voice.  He just adds so much to the experience.
