You cannot just imagine how many times in my life  I get out of my car to argue with some other driver... But it's quite ordinary here...

I read someone a while back posting an idea similar to this that I thought was kinda cool, that during the Landsmeet with a human noble Fergus should come bursting in shouting 'Highever stands with the Wardens'

oh.. it's a nice thing that we can't bring weapons with us here... I believe we could have a lot of dead every day in our streets when traffic is too intense...

So, another random thought I had this morning. From the human noble origin story - your sister-in-law is from Antiva. So when you meet Zevran and you don't kill him outright and he tells you he's an Antivan Crow, why doesn't your character know at least a little about them? Did you hate your sis-in-law so much that you never spoke to her or she never told you about her life in Antiva? Small point, but one I was curious about.

See...this is the problem when you play the game over and over and over again. Such things are missed on a first playthough but become more obvious the more you play. Of course, I'm so addicted to the story that I can't stop playing!  

Someone had a forum entitled "Need a 12-step program."  I didn't read it, but I thought it was about how addictive this game is.  I need a support group..."Hello, my name is BostonVamp and I'm addicted to DA:O"

I thought what Loghain did at Ostagar was unforgivable regardless of what he thought was right. I enjoy killing him in the Landsmeet just because you don't like how things are run doesn't give you the excuse to potentially end the world to damnation that is the blight.

The funny thing is I felt Loghain to be the main Rival with Alistair while I felt more hate for Howe. Even when playing as another race just because I remember what he did in the Human Noble Origin lol. I guess if you think of it Loghain is worse because he got the King killed, but Howe did it personally (His hand commanded it) Loghain just ignored it.

After reading "The Stolen Throne," I got the impression that Loghain was someone that couldn't be trusted and he needed a slight push in the right direction to betray you. He is certainly a complex character and is flawed as any good hero should be. But that he was made the bad guy in this story wasn't a surprise.  He also waited until Maric's death to put any plans into action, so I'm not sure if he respected Maric too much to do anything while he was alive because he certainly created havoc once he died.  I mean Anora married Cailan one month after Maric's death.  If they were truly betrothed to each other since infancy, why wait until after Maric's death for the wedding?

Anyway...way too much analysis from me on this.  "stepping off soapbox now"

I think this thread coveres support groups too.   It is one of those All In One threads. 

and btw yes. The more I play this game, the more areas of contradiction there are. There are several areas in the story that just seem to break...

no i agree theres more to loghain than being a hero hes just as much a villain in my eyes both in the book and the game as the old expressions go the ends dont justify the means and he still left the king to die try to have all grey wardens killed and blamed them for the kings death if he was so innocent why did he try to blame the grey wardens for cailans death hmmmmmm

Well, lets go deeper than that. He was wreaking havoc all over. Pre-meditated actions against Eamon, The Couslands, etc.. It has been proven, he started his campaign to eradicate all who could go up against him before the battles in Ostagar. Regardless of Howe's actions. Loghain was the control behind it all. Also, regardless of Howe's intentions, Loghain had a choice. I fail to believe he was so weak minded that Howe could manipulate him.

Anyway. I still have endings that he gets to live. Simply to have the experience. I also do not feel Anora is so innocent. As a matter of fact, my endings with her on the throne are a bit concerning. I had to experience it all though!!  hehe

In my first playthrough I was a mage myself. I had Morrigan with me but I was the one to save the day anyway. SO I suppose the order is:

Yourself (mage) - Morrigan - Wynne - ?

me too but if you talk to loghain he also indicates that anoras capture was not all so innocent so i'm thinking that she lied to us and set the whole thing up to get us to put her on the throne

When I visited Seattle due to work I was amazed at how calm the drivers are there. I don't know if it's always that way in the U.S. Heck, every time I wanted to cross a road the cars stopped to wait for me! Shocking!

She kind of admitted that to the player as well. Not directly, but reading between the lines, it was there.

LOL  not all areas are like that here in the US. However it is not uncommon.
