I had a nifty thought
Would it not have been very coolies of Fergus was found pre saving Anora? Join your party and have a hand in killing Howe? See, things like this would have really joined the story together. Made them much more intense and exciting.
I read someone a while back posting an idea similar to this that I thought was kinda cool, that during the Landsmeet with a human noble Fergus should come bursting in shouting 'Highever stands with the Wardens'
I think it would have been pretty cool if each Origin had a specific party member you could get.
Human Noble = Fergus
Dwarf Commoner = Leske
Dwarf Noble = His 2nd forget his name
City Elf = Soris
Dalish Elf = Tamlen or maybe Fenarel
Mage = Jowan
I'm not saying they have to join straight out of the origins though perhaps when your at the Landsmeet or a random encounter you find Fergus, Mages get Jowan at Redcliffe Castle, ect. Would have made the Origins feel more special. It would be a lot of wasted space though if you never played that Origin.

Jowan was slotted to be a companion, or so I read. I am unsure why they change their minds. I personally would have liked him WAY more then Wynne bag..

Yeah I saw that some where too. I would have liked to see him join, would have been cool to get him as your first Blood Mage. I still don't understand why he can't teach you if you spare him and the only way to learn Blood Mage is from the Demon.

Fairly simple. the demon is a conscious choice. You have to decide whether you want it bad enough to make the deal. I made the deal and unlocked the skill. I then reloaded the game and killed her. lol I am so terrible at being evil

Oh well, Jowan is out doing good deeds now. When is the DLC coming out where we help him bust Lily out of prison?

I just wish they would fix his quest! You get him to escape and there is a quest... Nothing comes of it though. It must be off with the elven boots

The Aeonar. YES.
It's a widely known fact that more than half of the mages in the prison were convicted for merely failing to adhere to 'fabulously' standardized dress-code. Imagine! Somewhere deep in that fortress lies a robe and wizard hat worthy of being called practical!

Seems many of you find the Deep Roads rather tedious. Having done this only once so far, it has not yet been the case for me, but I could see how it could become so ...
This brings me to a question. Is there any one single aspect of DA game-play that you find really irritating?
I have one, and it is pretty major.... I can never use Zevran cos of the horrible fake accent voice acting. It is like fingernails on a chalkboard for me, and completely ruins my game when I hear it. In my only complete play-though, I used gifts to keep him around and avoided as much convo with him as I could... He was never in my party except to trigger his Crows encounter...
From all accounts, he has the most triggered dialogue of any of the companions. What shame Bioware could not have found a voice actor with a Spanish or Italian background to do this properly...
There are some other terrible accents in the game, but convos with these characters are brief, so I can get through it without my ears bleeding too much....

Traffic wasn't really bad also in Milan this morning
As I said before there is only an aspect that I find irritating not only in DA:O but in all RPG games.. Some side-quests that force you to travel back to some locations of the map where you have already finished your main quest, and where you have to come back just to do a single thing.. i.e. some "Blackstone's Quest" where you have to come back to locations just to give a letter to someone... or "Darla's quest" where you have to come back to Circle tower, and after that come back again to Orzammar only to speak with her.. they annoying me so much !!
Even if I am a HUGE fan of romances, another thing I find a little irritating is that sometimes is more difficul to avoid to start on romance than begin them... I'll try to explain.. my female character is in romance with Leliana, and I have to keep Alistair only on friendship and to harden him... therefore I have to bring him at least +75 by avoiding to be nice with him in dialogues...damn.. I remember sometimes I gave him an ironic answer.. and what did he do??? he began to appreciate me !!!! what ???? no no no no... reload before dialogue and give him the "coldest" answer ever
The gift mechanic... Too many gifts and too easy to bring all your companion's agreement high.. I would like more influcence by dialogues, actions and decisions... Even if the gift mechanic allowed me to hardener alistair by avoiding to romance him...
