I can't shake the feeling that ME2 is not yet over...

I think Bioware is saving a 'sucker punch' to the 'durty bags' and it is coming out soon as DLC.

This 2nd act was supposed to be 'The Empire Strikes Back', but at best felt like a remake of 'Where Eagles Dare' or 'The Dirty Dozen'.

Then I got to thinking, in ME1 I scanned the keepers, for my buddy Chorbin, the Salarian scientist.
Chorbin sends me a frantic email saying his data implies that something big is about to happen NOW!
Not later, not a month later, not in two years, NOW!

And what is it we see just before the credits roll? The entire Reaper fleet!

I don't think the Reaper attack is going to happen in ME3.

I think it is going to happen in ME2.

And your choice, to save the Collector base, or not, to break ties with Cerberus or not, are going to come back and haunt you big time, as the whole galaxy is plunged into open war.

Yep, I think Bioware is going to deliver a big kick to the ME universe, and it will happen in an ME2 download
That is going to be the 'Reapers Strike Back', this is just the interlude.

I think ME3 will be more on how the Universe picks up the pieces and survives the Reapers after the fall of all Council space.

So my advice, you might just want to have a save ready, where you were not too quick to tell Cerberus and T.I.M to to Eff Off.

Oh, that's cool, we'll have ME3 to focus on romances, then!

It's possible there could be a universe altering DLC to bridge the gap into ME3. But your reasoning is most likely not quite the right basis.

Chorbin says something is about to happen right now, but in terms of an event taking place every 50,000 or so years, right now can easily mean many years. Not to mention the event with the keepers is null at this point. They were altered by the protheans and thus, will not activate the station for the reapers. So the major event he is referring to is impossible.

The reaper fleet is on its way to the galaxy, but its going to take them awhile... Throughout the game it suggests ME3 will happen one year after ME2 (SPOILERS*** Getting Cerberus data from one of the N7 missions, EDI claims it will take her one year to hack the data... And that side quest seems as though it will have an impact on ME3). And i always thought chorban was talking about Sovereign trying to open the relay, which already happened :P

Nice idea, but flawed. the event that Chorbin describes is the activation of the Citedal mass relay by the keepers. This came up in ME1 from Vigil the prothean VI. Vigil you may recall had told Shepard that the last surviving true protheans found a way to rewrite the keeper's programming so that they would not open the relay. That is the only reason sovereign Saren and the geth had to go in and do it manually.

Chorbin had a great discovery but it was already dealt with 50,000 years earlier.
