I support a multiplayer request for DA. For no other reason then the entertainment value of the forums and youtube videos.

The game is made for a Single-player. It would be a Mess if it was online.
Games like WoW which just have a [yes/no] for kills on bosses can be Multiplayer, games that is build up around the Choices and Consequences like Dragon Age, can't.

Single player games>multiplayer games. If I want that I'll just go back to playing WoW thank you very much.

The day that they release a multiplayer for Dragon age, is the day they release a 6 party game and call it Baldurs gate 3

The multiplayer worked gloriously in NWN, I can't see why it shouldn't in DA

if you ever played runescape and played the mini games like castle wars, pest control etc they could have mini games like that

you create a seperate character for online, whether it be warrior, rogue or mage, all at lvl 20, if you rank up you could say buy better equipment, or you can all just have the same equipment, and you can have matches like CTF, defend the castle against darkspawn

it could be great :D

Dragon Age is completely 100% incompatible with the multiplayer genre. Same with Mass Effect, for that matter.

Explain how. This is absolutely no reason why it would so completely incompatible in my mind so I really want to know your explanation of how.

And how long do I stand tapping my foot as the party leader talks to everyone?
How long will the party leader still be in the game after he finds out he/she also has to stand around as I shop for an hour...hmmm?

Not to mention what if the party leader decides to finish a quest in a bad way and the rest disagree's? Do we get to PvP then and kill the leader? Hmm now we have PvP and all the classes must be constantly rebalanced. Mages time to say goodbye to uberness.

There are plenty of MP games out there, lousy stories for the most part, not so much talking but that is the trade off.

I HATE multiplayer and love the Bioware still caters to us who prefer offline play. Having a multiplayer component would take resources away from further developing the SP experience.

I enjoy both. I play MMOs, online fps and offline single player dedicated rpgs. Bioware excells at the latter and should continue to do so.

I support MP, too.  In the future, just having an option for someone to take control of a character or two during battle would be kinda neat.  My wife would have liked to be able to do something while watching me play through the first time.  I realize that would be a pain in the rear to code and that not everyone would take advantage/enjoy it, but, hey, I like the idea.

This. Now, ME4 may be a ME MMO, but that's only because the main story would be over.

I would like multiplayer in DA, as long as it's not tacked on.

Wow...Even suggesting implementing something from Runescape into DA is a crime against humanity...

The day Bioware makes DA multiplayer is the day that I dropkick a baby...and you don't want that, do you bioware?

so be nice to babies and don't even consider MP as an option:wizard:

Wouldn't multiplayer kind of remove alot of the dialogue? like just walking around camp talking to people and hitting on morrigan?

I'm joyous that it isn't multiplayer.

Yes, I say joyous

It would be awesome if Dragon Age was like White Knight Chronicles (online-wise)

lol sorry, what i mean is you keep the single player as good as it is (imo it is brilliant Image IPB) and then at the main menu you have an option for online multiplayer much like Halo has single player and match making, i dont mean make the entire game multiplayer that would suck balls

i just mean have a few online mini games would be fun

I've said it many times before Dragon Age does not need to be multiplayer. It's quite fine the way it is.

Multiplayer?

Co-op LAN only please.

Anybody played borderlands? The co-op mechanic in that game is great!

It should be like Hello Kitty Online!

No wait, I have a much better idea. You want multiplayer Dragon Age? Try this wacky and amazing concept: Get some real friends who are into games. Get the Dragon Age pen and paper RPG. Voila! True interactive multiplayer Dragon Age! You can make up your own adventures, or just replay the entire campaign with more Grey Wardens

No, Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening is a single player game.

Why won't the DLC work in Awakening and will the new Specs work in Origins?

Did you hear that Bioware? If you don't include multiplayer into your game, you will lose another self entitled 13 year old. This sounds like a SERIOUS threat - I suggest you put everything on hold and incorporate multiplayer into DA ASAP, or you will surely go bankrupt.

Maybe in a sequel, I remember in a interview they said they want to look into that in the future but "they want to focus on telling the story a certain way". Seems like the reason for everything, but I guess that makes sense. If they make a DA2, with multilayer and import ability I would jump on that- I mean you were right, with the way you have companions that are playable you would think there would be mutliplayer compatibility.

Another thing the game should have had is something besides super hsrot DLC to do after you beat the game (Maybe a dungeon that's just incredibly long, no real story, just pointless killing for something to do)
