The upgrade you get for Grunt is for Grunt only, not Shepard.

Grunt's shotgun is available as an upgrade from talking to him as soon as you let him out of his tank, and the claymore shotgun for Shepard is on the Collector ship.

The Cerberus Shotgun from the new DLC is technically stronger then the Claymore, but fires 3 shots, before reload.

Not according to the data that Christina Norman has posted and that which has been datamined from the game files.

This is not true.
Claymore can be used by Soldiers, but I do not see why would anyone take it over the Revenant.

Not taking it over the Revenant when playing on Insanty you will have those time where you run out of ammo so you have to switch weapons and if your in close combat shotgun is the best option. Just want the best back up possible.

I am not really sure what you mean - you cannot have both so you gotta pick one.
Revenant has 80 rounds clip and over 500 (I think) rounds overall when full. You're not gonna run out of ammo unless you spray walls just for fun, Claymore is awesome but Evi (the DLC shotgun) + Revenant is far better than Claymore+any other AR imho.

I'm not such a fan of the Revenant machine gun. Personally I find it to be hideously inaccurate and I tend to get things killed quicker with the Avenger. I enjoyed the Claymore, stil haven't played with the Widow yet. Hmm, next playthrough maybe...

What I was getting at: Is last night I was doing Miranda loyalty quest and got to the last part where I was fighting the commando who had 3 bars of shielding. and half way thought the fight I ran out of ammo and I switch to the Evi and ran up to her and shot her in the leg dropped her down to her knees

You use Evi & Claymore in a different way, there really isn't a answer 'which gun is more powerful'.

Do you know if they've updated their numbers? I know that spread sheet was wrong a few weeks ago when everyone was doing shotgun calculations at X4 pellets when it's actually X8 pellets. It doesn't make a difference in the shotgun to shotgun comparison, but it makes a HUGE difference when comparing shotguns to other weapons.
Yes there was a update made today.

That chart is complete BS.
The Claymore has a higher DPS than the Evi, and it's doubly so when you use the reload trick. I would suggest using these weapons yourself so you can form your own opinion, rather than base them off some erroneous Wiki chart.
With that said, if you're playing a soldier, the Claymore probably isn't worth it. The Claymore is only worth it if you're playing a Vanguard really, since the Vanguard is designed around close quarters combat and you need to be close for the shotguns to be effective..

I havent been able to use the claymore for my self yet but the Evi works pretty well at Mid range and if you can get a clear shot even and mid long range.
