Fix shredder ammo to affect Barriers also. Or give him cloak, or some type of enemy confusion technique like a cloud of darkness or something.

Maybe I'm unobservant, but how is Thane "emo?" He never complains about his illness. Nor does he cry about his dead wife he talks about that **** like a man.

Some extra assassin abilities, more background story and talk options, a better and longer cinematic when we get him to survive til the last final mission. Other than that... don't change much about him. I loved the character.



P.S.: The cutscene really frustrated me... besides the fact that Shepard gets to have sex once per saving the galaxy... darn inflation.

This. Also I'd change his romance plot completely. Then again, I would change Garrus' too - and Jabob's... hmm. Okay, if we skip that one, Thane is a cool character but there are some "could-have-been"s that bug me from time to time.

what i would change is . I would stick him in the moistest place on the ship and throw miranda in also . I can not stand her She is little miss spoiled brat that just loves to tell everyone over and over how perfect she is. then when she pulled that crap with jack that was it . the next game im not even going to talk to her or do her loyalty quest . After the first game i can barley play because of her .let the **** die i say. Thain was just wierd IMO , no biggie he not living very much longer anyways

Also, get him to stop blaming his own past mistakes on his "body" while his "tormented soul" lives in anguish. Jesus christ, man up and accept responsibility for what you've done! He'd still be a sad panda so the girls would like him and he'd be more liked by the guys because he's not using the lamest excuse in the history of man. Or lizards.

Having his alternative outfit to work, I see nice clean golden/yellow lines in his outfit at squad selection screen, but outside that it doesn't seem to change at all.



Mordin has same problems with his alt. Or then the problem is in my eyes.

I would remove Shredder Ammo from the game and replace it with some kind of cool loyalty assassination power, like using a sort of invisible biotic charge to close with an enemy, snap its neck, and then port back to the initial location. Might be over-powered, but something like that.



Also, I would get rid of the annoying as hell flashbacks.

I think in first he references about his wife's death and the subsequent killing spree. It was HIS doing, no one had hired him to do that. Or something, his philosophies do get bit sketchy at times.

edit: Or then he is just trying to convince himself that his "hits" are on someone else than him.
edit: On sidenote, I hate how the edit works only when it likes to work. I had to edit this message three times before all the text appeared.

And how come there is no "poison ammo"? I remember (quite fondly) the Polonium rounds in ME1. Toxic ammo was cool.

Totally agreed. That's the only "wow, cool" moment I really remember with him. That and his dry "interesting solution" when Shepard shoots the hostage.

It's weird, Thane has all the makings of a cool character, but he's just really boring. I like the design, and I really like the voice actor they used for him, but other than that, the most positive thing I can think of is that at least he doesn't annoy the crap out of me like Jack does.

Don't know how useful he is in combat, I almost always bring Grunt and Garrus anyway. I don't think I've used Thane more than once.

I like Thane just fine, but this drives me nuts. I can't decide if he actually considers his soul seperate from his body and is totally okay with that, or is just lying to himself to feel better about being a murderer for most of his life. When you try to call him out on it, he's just like 'eh'.

If the character is male and has any problems what so ever the new kids call him emo.  It doesn't matter if the problems are legitimate gripes, it doesn't matter how you deal with them, you are emo.  You can pretty much call anyone emo, its just the comon way for haters to complain about a character. 

Heck even the classic "Emo" character cloud from FF7 is mislabled IMO. 

He complains about his problems occasioanlly, its like a  60 hour game and therer is maybe 8 minutes of conplaining who cares.  The weight of it beats him once in the enitre game, but he mans up fairly quickly after that.  I don't call that emo.  And quite frankly, if you watched the girl you were falling in love with get killed I think you'd be sad, sad does not = emo, if you find out all your memories might be fake and your just a clone fake of a super soldier you should have an emotioanl reaction to that, having one makes you a beleivable character not EMO. 

The same for Thane, if your life style gets your wife the woman you love killed you should feel sad and feel regret.  If you just shrug your sholders and say oh well its not because oyu aren't emo its because you are a sociopath.  I don't even like Thane but he was far from emo. 

It would be like calling Jack Emo, she had some seriosuly harsh crap happen to her of course she has an emotioanal reaction about it.  But that aint Emo.
