I've played through three times now, and I seem to be able to only find one smg design, so that leaves me 2 options for smg users.  The default one, and the one you get on the Tali recruit mission against the Geth.
Are there any more...am I just overlooking them?

sadly, thats it. The tempest is the last upgrade.

Same with the Heavy Pistol...only one upgrade. Definate canidates for weapon expansion via DLC.

Ah...bummer. I like the Hand Cannon on the pistol but yeah, not enough variety, or should I say, more variety would be nice. It seems like there are more sniper rifles and heavy weapons then anything else.

yeah all weapon makers in the galaxy went bankrupt while you were dead and only one of each remained , and luckyly you can find a second one of each laying around in pre determined places ...



same thing for armor makers only N7 made it out of the recession
