Anora becomes queen, mentions him briefly at the end, and nobody really seems to care much that he's dead.

That ending is pretty obnoxious. The warden gets all kinds of thanks for saving the world, while the fact that it was Alistair that did the deed, proving himself a hero, is all but ignored.

It is pretty bad that if the Warden makes the sacrifice, he/she gets a huge, emotional funeral, a big-ass statue and a tomb in Weisshaupt, whereas Alistair or Loghain get diddly squat. Tsk. (Still, I'm not sure I'd want to be entombed in Weisshaupt if I were the Warden - I'd have my remains in my homeland, given I'd died to save it).
