You're not cynical. I'd be very surprised if there's more than one planet with the free DLC.

There's talk about it being announced with further download content around March 9th. There's some video game event going on at that time, but I can't for the life of me remember what it is called. There is rumored to be "new" DLC to be announced. I'm hoping it has the final crew member announced in it... or at least the date for the Hammerhead.

 I'm very much anticipating this. I liked the Mako in ME1 (although it was overused IMO), It was especially great to drop it on the moon and gaze up at Earth.

Based on what a mod called javierbesomethingsomething posted recently, most people are actually expecting "significant" DLC today, or at least sometime this week.

So if Hammerhead is the next thing coming, it really should probably be this week, not March 9th. I'm assuming BW wouldn't be so underhanded as to clearly delay something just for that conference.

So, I'd assume that Hammerhead is either NOT with Kasumi and she's what they'll talk about there, or the other way around.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love it to be an expansion pack and get both Hammerhead and Kasumi this week, but I don't see that happening.

I don't understand why people b!tch about the Mako from the first game, it was one of the best experience I had in a video game since shooting at 3D targets. It really made me felt like I was an Astronaut exploring unexplored planets. Didn't anyone wanted to be an Astronaut when they were growing up? Of course not, because these days becoming a Rap artist is more interesting than going to space. *insert sarcasm*

Because there was a patch on the PC version of ME2 that reads....

"It is recommended that players reset their keyboard mapping to default values to ensure proper vehicle control"

Naturaly people are jumping the gun on this, I would be very surprised if it did come out today.

The Mako wasn't the problem;  It was the poorly designed planets.

The event is GDC (Game Developers Conference) and runs from March 9-13

Our main DLC-informing-mod said that "significant" DLC should be coming this week, and 3 days ago they said "Only a few days!".

What? I don't want a vehicle! Give me an Improved Mineral Scanner that maybe rotates counter clockwise for planet exploration. If you can get crazy with it, add a timer that ticks with every second of my life wasted on it as well! Like ya thought at launch, I only need a spinning dial and movable disc for my planet exploration needs. The immersion is palpable, it's like Pong 2.0 but on steroids, woot! ty Bioware!



Seriously...done, finished the game twice (along with most of the people I am sure that bought the game, just hazarding a guess there)...and now they are releasing a vehicle that should have been there from launch. Awesome

Whether it was intended to be part of the original release or not, it's irrelevant. The content is free, and not premium. I'd understand if it were going to be at a cost, but it's just common sense.

Gotcha, I can respect that. Guess the entire planet mineral scanning garbage pissed me off but hey, can't make everyone happy and I am glad it (the Hammerhead) is finally coming. Happy gaming
