Jack seems fine, but her skill set is utterly useless(In my opinion). Warp ammo is neat, but not that neat.

Shockwave is one of the best anti-husk abilities in the game. She's great with it.

She'll be like Stephen Hawking in ME3.Except her robo voice will be profanity strewn.  And she won't be a genius.

I'm pretty sure there was previous mention of neural degredation in Kaiden's spiels on the BATT. It is also mentioned by the doctor's logs, but it sounds more like a 'given' where the only difference in Jack's case was that she wasn't becoming less effective at biotics like all previous biotics have (such as, from L2 implants). To me it sounds more like its normal with the exception that she was becoming more powerful despite it.

Good point. That is a likely possibility.

I agree.  I always take Jack along for the Horizon and the Collector Ship missions.

Leveling up her 'Subject Zero' talent tree as an Adept will give her a nice boost to power cooldown, so she can use her biotic abilities quite often.

Ya but that would really suck and be incredibly stupid if she just ends up as a vegetable. I will be pissed if this becomes an issue in ME3.

I don't think it's an issue more than it was an excuse to give her an upgrade option.  It was only a game-play element and not a story one, or she would have mentioned it during one of her conversations.

The upgrade takes advantage of her condition it does not cure it. When you first get her on the team she talks about wanting the fills on her so she can fully understand what they did to her. Some of those talks feel like they are setting up a “Jack is dying” subplot but it got cut from the game because they ran out of time.

Right, but I don't know if she would die from her condition.  It's possible that they planned for this to fit in with her story somehow but dropped it due to time constraints   Right now, it's only a game-play element and they probably won't bring it up again.

Also, Warp Ammo is probably the best ammo power in the game. It's effective against 2/3 defenses and also affects health.

Huh. Somehow missed that. It could be interesting if it were to come up. If she's aware of her condition, it could exlain some of her live fast, play hard outlook. If she figures it's inevitable, then I could see why she wouldn't talk about it, as she probably feels there's nothing to really talk about. Especially seeing as most of the dialogue trees feel so truncated.

Of course, if her neuraldegeneration is similar to the forms we're familar with today--huntington's, parkison's, alzhimers's--there's no reason to assume it would exclude Jack from playing an active role in 'Mass Effect 3', unless it's set a decade later. As horrific as those conditions are, they're also slow.

Here's hoping the developers can make good use of her condition to help tell a decent story.

It would certainly add another layer of tragedy to the character... you can't beat a good tragic romance to make saving the universe especially pyrric - can save the galaxy from life-devouring monster-machines from beyond the stars, can't save your love interest from slowburn dementia. Boy, now would that make a great tearjerker...

You can't kill Cutlass Jack!

ANYWAY she was the only one I didn't get loyalty for so I don't really care.

Indeed. Properly done, that would be great.

Though, honestly, I can't imagine that BioWare would focus that much on a single possible story, even if Jack does play that big a role in 'Mass Effect 3'. Especially considering her popularity, or lack there of. There seems to be a lot of squares playing the game who aren't able to appreciate Jack.
