I don't suppose you'd be willing to share your secret on getting the color red onto clothing? I've been trying for two days and it always wants to be pink or magenta when I load it into the game. I'm using Photoshop CS4 to do the coloring.

I know it´s silly, but is it possible to change model texture of Miranda to make her wear bikini (not the romantic scene bra, but her hexagon styled armor bikini):lol: I´seen this model, where she was wearing top of armor and panties..

Normally I just use a brush with soft light (sometimes hard light) and a dark(-ish) Red, then I just go over the area I want coloured, or if there is already a colour available I will just change the hue, and maybe darken it a bit.

You could try making the Red darker than you want (the specular map or model shaders could be making it show up lighter than it is).
Also, try getting a Red to show up on a different texture (if you haven't already).

Dunno if it would make a difference, but you could try getting Texmod to save / grab textures as a different file type (I use .png), and then re-save your texture as the same file type.

.DDS is a 'safe' format to go with, as some textures will not show up properly if you use a different file type, but those are generally normal maps or specular maps. I just use .png to keep the quality of the image and the file size a tad smaller.

I've done two quick texmod's
Thane's outfit in Dark Red. Pretty much the same as his DLC outfit, but without the ridiculous shades. Replaces Loyalty Outfit...

It took a little tweaking of the diffuse and specular maps but I finally got my reds. :D

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if any of you fantastic modders here (I am VERy impressed with the work there!) might be able to reverse engineer a tutorial or take the time to run me through the process. I am a very quick study with comp programs, so no worries there, however I am still a novice at 3D modelling.



What I would like is to make my own 3D, posable model of Miranda Lawson from the game to use in artwork. And I will definitely share any goodies that comes from this with the community.



Would someone have the kindness in their hearts to help me?

This isn't quite the right place, but...
I can't help in creating your own 3d Model (I myself am a 'noob' with 3D modelling), aside from telling you that there are loads of good tutorials about 3D Modelling on youtube.
However if you wanted a fully poseable 3D Model of Miranda extracted from the game then you can PM me for a link.

Thanks. I figured there might be some Paragon Sheps out there who'd like to bring the Normandy back to the Alliance. :lol:

I gotta admit this was a pretty simple mod. I just saved the Alliance textures with the same names as the Cerberus textures and built the package from that. They're basically the same shapes so everything renders out properly.

I could do a version with the Cerberus pants. Was there a specific one you're looking for?

(edit to add) I used the Cerberus casual uniform as my pattern but saved with the Alliance casual texture names to overwrite that uniform.

sadly, there's no way to do this. we can make all of the texture transparent, but the model itself is opaque.
