That shouldn't be a problem. I'll let you know when it's done. In exchange could you provide me a screenshot of your Shepard wearing the outfit to put in the project gallery? Thanks.

I think you can do some modding with gibbed's save editor for xbox for hair and eyes. Check out this thread for help: http://social.biowar...8/index/2277020
For the clothes you would need a pc to run texmod.

Hey, er, I'm having troubles with Texmod: the plus and minus keys do nothing. When I start ME2 I get the little red menu in the corner, and I can filter textures, but I'm unable to select any. Help?
Here's a link with instructions on how to use Texmod to create new mods:
http://www.gamevixen...9d316ca4d083fb1
---
quick basics for grabbing textures:
1, Open up TexMod
2. Choose "Logging Mode"
3. Choose output format
4. Uncheck "Draw Control and Texture Info"
5. Choose the output folder Texmod will place textures in
6. Run ME2
7. Go to location of desired texture
8. Press "numpad *" to reset the textures
9. Then start pressing "numpad +" until the texture you want shows up in green
10. Press F1 (or whichever key you've chosen for logging textures). TexMod will log it and save the texture to the folder chosen in step 3. For the normal map you will need to press "print screen" and then save it in whichever graphics program you're using. Texmod doesn't seem to save normal maps.

I know this is a hack and things like this are expectable, but not everyone seems to suffer from it. Is it ATI issue or something?

Now that I'm using these texture mods, do I have to use text Mod to start Mass Effect from now on?
Only if you want to use a texmod otherwise start it as you normally would.

I don't use Steam to run ME2, but there are instructions on using TexMod with Steam on the TexMod project page. Hopefully they will be of some help.

I know many people were hoping for a fix for the glasses on the alternate costume for Thane and Sub. Zero
However,
after many real life interruptions (Im no game dev after all) and
countless free time spent researching and teaching myself
stuff off the interwebs about texture modding I have come to a sad
conclusion:
Unfortunately removing the glasses is not possible.
At
least, not with the current access we have to ME2's engine and files,
because it is an actual in game object, and so far I/others do not know
how to modify or remove them. Assuming it's possible of course.
The only good part about all this
is that I have learned a lot of new tricks and interesting things that I
had no clue about before, which means I will be much more proficient and
quick in doing things that I previously thought would have been too
hard when it comes to tex modding.
Thanks to everyone who kept up
with this project and sorry to be the bearer of bad news. If it makes
you feel any better, I myself had a vested interest because I wanted to
use those alternate outfits without the shades.
Feel free to post any requests though, and as always I'll do my best to make it happen

Any luck on the blue (Paragon) TIM eyes yet?
Also: Any tips on ways to improve framerate while using Texmod? I'm going to be recording a playthrough soon and was looking for texture mods to use. Its recordable but still pretty bad. I heard disabling Catalyst A.I. helps but that didn't do much if anything at all.

yeah the problem with the tim eyes was actually something that had nothing to do with textures, that's why I couldn't get it to work.
It's actually something you need to modify in Gibbed Save editor.
You need to have a custom face for your Shep, and then insert certain values in the face morph values.
If you go check on the "modding is possible III" thread, you will find all the info you need.
As for improving framerates with texmod, unfortunately it is heavily dependent upon what kind of hardware you have.
For example, I recently bought an Alienware M15x with all the max settings, and my game runs constantly at 60 fps with as many tex mods as I want, except for the CIC where I get 40-45 FPS.
But short of getting a better PC, you can try disabling all antiviruses, background processes that you don't need and run any of the many cpu optimizers out there.
Reducing graphical settings (especially shaders) in the configuration utility in the ME launcher may also significantly help.
Unfortunately Texmod will help and change many things you may not like, but unfortunately it can cause FPS drops. Also, for some Nvidia graphic cards react a lot better to texmod in games than say ATI or others. Dunno why, but there it is.
Hope that helps.

System:
AMD Phenom II X4 910 @2.66ghz
ATI Radeon HD5770 (Standard OC version)
8gb RAM
HDD with only 5200 rpm*
All settings at absolute max. No exceptions. 1920x1080 resolution
Recorded a run around the CIC with the camera centered on the Normandy Hologram the whole time.
Using Texmod but with no texture added on.
Frames: 953
Time (ms): 24644
Min: 34
Max: 46:
Avg: 38.671
With a texture added on:
Frames: 374
Time (ms): 22809
Min: 11
Max: 24
Avg: 16.397
*This is what I believe holds everything back.
As long as the FPS is recorded at/over 20 FPS I am okay. ideal recording FPS would be constant 30.
I'll run more benchmarks in different resolutions.

Unfortunately, you and a majority (if not all) of the users reporting fps lag have ATI grfx cards.
I don't know why this is, but apparently Nvidia doesn't cause the same problem.
let me know though, and if you have any other questions or if I can help in any way Id be glad to.

I disabled Catalyst A.I. and got a small FPS boost. Running some benchmarks and putting the data in my blog. I will update it with more data tomorrow as I didn't finish the last 2 runs with AI disabled.
Then I just need to repeat 8 runs with AI enabled. Then do some calculations.
Man, I wish Nvidia was as competitively priced as ATI, would have upgraded to them instead but noooo, Nvidia has to have cards out of my price-per-performance range.
