My problem is that I want to play ME2, but of my imported characters I have left to use, none of them are set for Miri romances. I have their stories mapped out in my head so I mist stick to it, but I don't know how I'll do it.

None of mine were "set" for it either. I adapted. If you don't want to replay ME1, copy and edit an existing imported character. I did this because I had only one ME1 maleShep.

I'm not sure if you can do the copy/edit trick on the 360 version or not. If I have to, I'll just start a couple of new characters in ME2. I have 11 imported ones so a few non-imports won't hurt.

Sorry I thought you came in here specifically to fight us so I was geared up and ready.  You are certainly not the first person to rag on Miranda for, in my opinion, false reasons.

But if you do not want to fight then I shall not fight you.

Miranda is beloved here so calling her names and working to spin everything she does in the worst light possible is not going to make you popular.  Just FYI.

She said herself her father gave her everything she wanted - but with heavy strings attached. Her father is described as "extremely controlling" and Miranda was the "first daugher he kept" out of several tries. They parted with gunshots. So, while she might not have lacked anything material, she had to fear for her life and had an emotionally dead childhood. OK, that's not on the same level as Jack, but it's bad enough.

Yes, "you are a mistake" is extreme. I didn't like Miranda saying that. But she didn't start that argument. Before that, I think Miranda's attitude is very reasonable. "Hope she's not more trouble than she's worth" is exactly what I thought after recruiting her. Jack is mentally messed up beyond all recognition - and yes, she deserves compassion for what had been done to her - but that doesn't change that taking her on this mission sounds like  a very uncertain proposition.

Okay, I have finally viewed the kiss for myself on Youtube. Definitely funny and romantic, not annoying, Miranda's demeaning herself again and comes close to wallowing in self-pity, but Shepard effectively gets her to focus on something else. Good boy. And she's definitely encouraging him during the "I do damn good work" bit

Well I never said he wasn't teasing her, he was. But this was playful teasing, nothing wrong with that, just a bit of fun between them both. It's not like it was mean-spirited.

He is teasing her, but only because he likes her.  He's trying to break down that wall she has up all the time, and is making fun of himself in the process.  I think if he was being malicious he wouldn't have taken a shot at himself in the process.  He is refering to himself as the "genetic mutt" and saying that it must sting her pride that HE"S incharge of the Normandy mission, not her(as she's HIS second in command).  Up until that point Miranda and Shepard really have yet to bond fully.  I think she respects his abilities but is just starting to fully trust him.  She's a strong, serious person and he's using a little humour to get her to warm up to him, like when he says "Love?  I'm just trying to get you into bed.".

Well I apologise if I was a little hasty in my use of the trolls pics, but when you come into a support/love thread and start bashing the character it's the immediate response.

You aren't the first person to have read the title wrong and you're welcome to stay here but not if you're going to continually bash Miranda. This is her support thread after all, where all of her fans gather.

You can actually wait that long?  Hell, every time I play through I say "this is the last one for a while, too much else to do" but then I break down and start all over again. 

Same with romancing any other character, I tried to romance Tali just to see it, and gave up and wen't back to Miranda's office.... felt like I was cheating on her or something.  Thank god for Youtube, otherwise I'd never see any of that great writing.  Oh well, time well wasted.
