Ok actually reflecting on it a bit I think you guys are right. He is saying that TIM put a genetic mutt in charge who is actually better than she is.  I was: wrong.

Wow admitting I was wrong in the internet feels so strange.

Alright I guess that isn't as bad as I thought. Thanks now maybe I will take that choice several months from now when I actually get back to that scene hehe.

Yes... its why Miranda says Shepard is almost perfect anyhow. Shes trying to deflect the comment that she is jealous.

As to actually admitting you are wrong.... well its a rare thing to see on the 'intarwebs'. Its refreshing...

But Shepard calls himself the genetic mutt, not Miranda. ;)

Shepard: Wait a minute.  Are you jealous?

Miranda: Don't be absurd.

Shepard: The genetic mutt that the Illusive Man put in charge.  Man, that must sting.

Miranda: First, it's not a competition. Second, based on your combat records, you're practically a perfect bloody human specimen.

Seems pretty clear to me Shep was using that to tease Miranda not make fun of himself.  He means that Miranda is the genetic mutt and TIM put her in charge of the Lazarus project.

don't think i ever took those dialogue options - i will have to try! definitely had the renegade kiss though...

You can actually wait that long?  Hell, every time I play through I say "this is the last one for a while, too much else to do" but then I break down and start all over again.

Because I started again at the beginning of ME1.  Man it is hard to play it after enjoying the awesomeness of ME2 for awhile.

Shep's definitely poking fun at himself during that scene.

Do you think the crew's aware of the relationship. I can't see them being anything other than strictly professional on duty. Though I can see a very public, elated, and spontaneous kiss if everyone survived the suicide mission. "Just this once, everyone lives."

While I'm working on making a more blood-red version of Miranda's outfit, I figure I should release the darkred version anyway.

Image IPB

Things you'll need:
Texmod - Download here or here.
Miranda's Darkred Outfit - Download here or here.

How to use... the quick 'n dirty explanation:
1. Extract both texmod.zip and miranda_darkred.zip
2. Run texmod and select Binaries\\MassEffect2.exe in your ME2 folder.
3. While in package mode select the little open folder and find where you extracted miranda_darkred.tpf
4. Click run!

With the Tali thread at 4000 something pages. I doubt anyone is policing the threads anymore.

Jack, who always seems to think we have a relationship going even after I tell explicitely we are just friends, knows about it.  So does Mordin obviously.

So I presume everybody knows but are being discrete.

But yeah it is not like Miranda ever acts unprofessional outside of your private moments.  Which I find rather dreamy actually Image IPB

So are we cool now i really dont want to leave till its all cool . im not a troll i know it was a classic ploy by a troll to come in here and do what i did . but you can see i need to readbut hey warming and warning do look a little bit alike

It's OK. There's been some debate about controversial things involving Miranda here, particularly involving Cerberus. It's not that we're ignoring Miranda's flaws. You just created a bad first impression.

EDIT  and how have you guys mannaged to get to    1040   pages wow  imppresive

Well, to be honest, mostly by OT conversation, LOL. Just like the other big character threads. But we do have a good amount of real discussion, even though it has gotten less lately. I usually advise new visitors to read the original post. Reading the rest of the thread can be tiring.

Works fine. She's red even in the engine room scene!

The only drawback is that my anti-virus software doesn't like Texmod. Every time I use Texmod I have to turn off one component...

x2 :)

(=x4, hehe.... we should be honest and say "+1", but where would be the fun in that)

Edit:
BTW, just installed DAO:Awakening. Got the first annoying bug after 30 seconds in the game. All codex entries are fubared. For a codex completionist like me, this is unbearable.

It is good to hear that it works.... now I will continue my struggle with getting a brighter red (that doesn't end up looking pink ingame).

judging from the screens, matte would look better than shiny with red. white doesn't matter, but red makes her outfit look a bit odd under some of the lighting.

I'd like to compare first. The shiny red is unexpected, but I do like it. Although admittedly it looks even more like a paint job than the white version.

With my limited knowledge I wouldn't have a clue on how to change it... plus its probably a shader that I couldn't change if I wanted to.

I've been reading Ascension and blue eyes are described as "nonexistent." Miranda doesn't strike me as the type to use artificial tinting. Dad's creepiness factor just went up another notch.

Sheperloo also has blue eyes Image IPB

But I know my Shep uses artificial tinting.  I save the galaxy in style.

I don't take that as canon. Doesn't seem likely blue eyes will vanish within 150 years. Me = ignore. BTW, you can give your Shepard blue eyes, what about that?

Anyway, Miranda's eyes are beautiful. Genetically perhaps a throwback if you take Ascension as canon, but not in the least inhuman. The world would still recognize them as what had once been in the human gene pool. Special, yes. Creepy, no.

Edit:
The author of the books should become better acquainted with biology. Taking such half-knowledge and writing an SF novel (or gaming universe) only yields disastrous results. Don't get me started.....
