The reason you'd hate it, Ieldra is that Miranda's detachment in this story is a bit more extreme. She doesn't have Shepard or Oroana, and Niket is dead/ No real friends or confidants. And Mirinth picks up on that and uses it against her.

Then it may just be that you're mistaken. I already like the setup. I think detachment is, primarily, a desirable state of mind, except, of course, where it gets too extreme and destructive. A story that explores the area where the desirable turns into the destructive is at least interesting to me. I can see Miranda learning something about herself in that story - if she survives. 

Sorry, Ieldra. I may be mistaken, and I will post the link here on May 2 when it goes live. It ought to be interesting to see the reaction to this story, since it contains Miranda/Morinth and past Miranda/Jacob and Miranda/original female character, with Miranda and Shepard not even on each other's radars.

@jtav: I think the Miranda/Morinth plot sounds interesting, actually. I like your thought process because you have a way of coming up with things I had never even considered before. I hope you'll post a link to it in here or at least let us know when it's finished so we can ask for the link ourselves. I know I'd be interested in reading it.



@gutty: The dialogue tree is looking great. I can't imagine how time consuming it is, but I definitely appreciate it.

Hey Meg, you've got nothing to say sorry for.  I've not long woken up from a nap and I'm pretty grumpy and groggy at the moment, took me a few minutes to realise I came across as pissy in my post and for that I apologise to everybody.

I'm just going to drink my tea and clear my head a little before I respond to anything else, I really don't want to have to go down the hospital to have my foot surgically removed from my mouth

Yup, we switch over tonight.  So if we were to get going at say 7am for us, then for Odin and Flashy it would be 2am instead of the 3am it was the other morning, and it'd be 11pm the previous day for Meg instead of the midnight I think it was the other morning.
