Romance her and you do see it. It's there, you just have to be looking for it.

I'd consider the "rescue" to be shooting Wilson. But there's no doubt that she's among the toughest and most skilled characters in the series. And people wonder why I like her. It's the comptence. The only drawback is it makes me doubly angry when she's turned into a weepy, wilting flower in a story.Prudii Aden wrote...

Random thought: Miranda is the only female LI you don't have to rescue at any point. You save Ashley from the geth on Eden Prime, Liara on Therum, Tali on the Citadel, Freedom's Progress and Haestrom, and you break Jack out of jail. Nothing similar for Miranda.
You make a very valid point jtav. She's the only LI where the situation could be considered to be reversed - she rescued Shep from death, after all!

Yes, and you can also get her quite flustered if you choose the "Jealous?" option during one of their conversations. That shows you quite a different side of her character too.

Same here. Though, "No promises" is a close second.AccursedOdin wrote...

Yeah, the "Jealous?" choice is one of my favorite interactions between Shep and Miranda.

Haven't chosen that option yet, gonna have to do that on my next playthrough.
Bit off-topic, but has anyone else taken to hitting F5 on other websites in hopes of seeing new content thanks to this thread?

Either of the "promise" options are great and pretty much destroy the theory that Miranda is only after sex. Where do people come up with this stuff?

If you really want to go that way, it's by no means impossible. It's just not a foregone conclusion that she must have side effects. I like her past better without this element, though.jtav wrote...
Just for the record I'd like to withdraw my "Being an L2 gave Miranda headaches/chronic pain" theory. I just got through the beginning of ME and Chakwas only says some have side effects. And I REALLY liked that theory, too. Bit of projection, I suppose. Oh, well.

At some point in the romance Miranda asks Shepard to promise that he won't die. You can either give that promise or answer - more honestly - that in the current situation no promises can be made. Both options are quite good and carry a distinctive mood , but the "no promises" option is better IMO.
