go for a swim and drink a lot of caffeine to wake up a bit.
you have a chance to swim and you're pondering it?
I would just say 'point me towards the water! cannonball!!!!'
and peeps... please don't be getting cranky/bitter/"my so and so was higher/lower than your so and so" because that totally defeats the purpose of playing.
hell i got chopped, stomped, slapped, punched, splatted, etc and i still LMAO... so let's not start turning our games into usual Xbox Live games, okay? that's why i stopped playing with the general XBL public.
keep the fun going.

I think she was always athletic, so staying in shape physically was no problem. Handling of small arms should also pose no problem, since you can learn that as a civilian if you really want to. For tactics and leadership I think it was Cerberus training, maybe on top of some basic stuff learned by experience when running from her father's goons.jtav wrote...
I, um, have a silly Miranda related question. How did she get so good at combat? I doubt Dad taught her how to handle a machine gun or lead a fire team. Cerberus training?
She's not with Cerberus for her combat skills, if you ask me. She's very, very good with the science, that's one thing. And maybe she's also good as a spy. I guess she brought one or the other big secret with her, something related to her own genetic engineering that her father kept from them.If so, I'd love to know what she did as a teen to convince them she'd be a better asset to them than her father's money.

I'm somewhat of a Cerberus apologist myself. Well, maybe not exactly, but I do set myself against those who say "Cerberus are all scum, I *hatehatehate* them , and they must all die" or something like that. Because, while I don't agree with their methods, I do agree somewhat with their agenda, depending on what exactly is meant by "human advancement". I don't think it's evil to seek power as such - it all depends on what you do with it once you've got it. I think the artificial evolution I see lurking behind their agenda is inevitable and desirable. Regarding the events in the game, I also can't overlook that they brought Shepard back to life (without that control chip), and that they seem to do something where the Council does not.jtav wrote...
I was asking someone to explain the sudden rash of Cerberus apologists. It's pretty clear to me they're scum. Also, I think I've finally figured out why I'm hard on Miranda: I can't forget who she works for.
Of course that doesn't redeem the whole organization, nor does it justify most of the experiments we know about. But I think that the bigger picture is more complex than "Cerberus are scum". Ah...and let's not forget that Cerberus may be an Alliance organization according to information given in ME1. That also doesn't justify their methods, but it makes the picture even more complex.
I wonder what we'll be able to do with them in ME3. I hope it's something more than the decision between "Destroy them" and "Become them". Because that would be simplistic.
Edit:
Just read the thread "Their methods are extreme". While I maintain my opinion, I must admit that some of the apologist arguments there are crap.

@ Yannkee: It's just because the Gears thing is new at the moment, everybody is a bit excited so we can't help but talk about it, things will calm down soon. =)

Good morning.
No problem with the Gears thing. (Chuck discuss is also hard to stop sometimes)
I think there are also less subjects concerning Miranda to discuss. I can't much participate because of my bad english, but I enjoy reading discussions concerning her.

Its a time intensive task but someones gotta do it. I should have loyalty mission done in a few days... on top of all the other little sideprojects I'm doing.MegWithAMouth wrote...

Nail on head. I'm tired of having to rescue characters... especially ones caused by thier own ineptitude (Tali - I'm looking at you.).jtav wrote...
Random thought: Miranda is the only female LI you don't have to rescue at any point. You save Ashley from the geth on Eden Prime, Liara on Therum, Tali on the Citadel, Freedom's Progress and Haestrom, and you break Jack out of jail. Nothing similar for Miranda.
I still don't know why everyone brings this up. I've looked from the both the lab and the armory and you can only barely see the control panel. Miranda and Shepard are a significant distance from the panel. No-one can see them...Somebody1003 wrote...
But everyone can see from Mordin's lab room.
Well her father did give her biotics and I can't really think of any real use of biotics outside of combat. I would guess she was given at least basic combat training and at least a moderate level of biotic training. All the advanced training (including fireteam tactics) would've been done with Cerberus' help.jtav wrote...
