More dialogue! More renegade interrupt! http://gutty47.110mb...ogue.php?conv=5

The site is acting extremely wonky at the moment and I'm getting like 75% loss to it but through various proxies I've been able to access it. So if you can't access it at the moment, try again at later time... hopefully it'll sort itself out in a few hours or so.

I'm breaking up the loyalty mission over parts simply so its easier for someone to go back and find stuff (its also easier to put together). I'll probably rename the scenes when I finish the loyalty mission so its easier to identify when each scene occurs.

I'm currently spending time trying to figure out paragon and renegade points at the moment for the first elevator scene. I'm getting to see lines I've never seen before... so at least its fun.

Thanks for your good work. I can't access it at the moment, so maybe more comments later.

Nice that it's fun. I'm playing ME1 Geth Incursions, and that's not so much fun.... I'd skip that missions, but Tali needs the data and I'm a completionist.

No one here is against Miri related conversations, but it just isn't feasible to continue such a thread with a vast majority of it discussing only her when there is no DLC adding to it. We wouldn't make 5 pages a day, hell we might not make 2. The thread would be buried and lost under that.

QFT! You got it all spot on Kab. ;)

@Kabraxal:

The occasional on-topic post or so isn't too much to ask, is it? Once in a while, perhaps?

Of course not, I always go out of my way to try and respond to people who bring up something on-topic, I just don't have any unique conversation starters myself. ^_^

Ok then
If Miri HAD to die how would you want her to die?

It's okay, only 3 hours in and all I've really done is shoot a few things and try to get across the island a bit. The thing is so huge it takes about 5 minutes real time to move from A to B!

Ok, played a demo of the first but hated it, might try the seconds demo if JC2 is better than the first

Ooh, I hate trying to picture this in my mind! :( I guess I'd want to see a heroic end for Miri in some form, but I don't have anything specfic in mind. I could certainly see her sacrificing herself to save Oriana though.

Mine is simple Honourably and for something (not a meaningless death)

I can't imagine Miri dying. Even if it's an heroic death, I would be disappointed. :(

I was asking someone to explain the sudden rash of Cerberus apologists. It's pretty clear to me they're scum. Also, I think I've finally figured out why I'm hard on Miranda: I can't forget who she works for.

I'm somewhat of a Cerberus apologist myself. Well, maybe not exactly, but I do set myself against those who say "Cerberus are all scum, I *hatehatehate*  them , and they must all die" or something like that. Because, while I don't agree with their methods, I do agree somewhat with their agenda, depending on what exactly is meant by "human advancement". I don't think it's evil to seek power as such - it all depends on what you do with it once you've got it. I think the artificial evolution I see lurking behind their agenda is inevitable and desirable. Regarding the events in the game, I also can't overlook that they brought Shepard back to life (without that control chip), and that they seem to do something where the Council does not.

Of course that doesn't redeem the whole organization, nor does it justify most of the experiments we know about. But I think that the bigger picture is more complex than "Cerberus are scum". Ah...and let's not forget that Cerberus may be an Alliance organization according to information given in ME1. That also doesn't justify their methods, but it makes the picture even more complex.

I wonder what we'll be able to do with them in ME3. I hope it's something more than the decision between "Destroy them" and "Become them". Because that would be simplistic.

Edit:
Just read the thread "Their methods are extreme". While I maintain my opinion, I must admit that some of the apologist arguments there are crap.

I agree that the desire for power is not, of itself,, evil. My problem is with their methods. I simply can't justify turning a colony into husks or implanting Reaper tech into Grayson. That's why I call them evil. The only long-term Cerberus operative we've seen with a semi-functional moral compass is Miranda herself. The organization needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. Maybe taking charge of a revamped Cerberus will be a possible ending for Miranda.

Good morning everyone.

How many long term Cerberus operatives have we even met? I can think of only two but I haven't read the books.

Well, Miri has to die..... of old age, if you ask me

But if she was to die in ME3, then she should die doing something heroic, that makes all humanity remember her.

Anyone here not happy with the current content of this thread is more than welcome to start their own threads where they can talk about Miranda/Mass Effect 24/7 if they so desire.

Otherwise, please don't keep bringing up that there is 'no/less/hardly any Miranda in this thread'.

I'd prefer she die a hero, saving the galaxy. Shepard will do everything in his power to make sure her sacrifice wasn't in vain.
Speaking of death, do you think not seeing or hearing from each other for a year/three years and then being reunited would be enough to overcome Miranda's natural resistance to PDA?
