Hm, lancer/shotty combo works best for me so far. I used to be able to handle the sniper rifle really well in shooters but I don't like the feel of it in Gears. Probably the targeting reticle so I need to practiceDarthReavus wrote...

Don't worry about it, guess it'll be Odin then. I'm okay at sniping in something like execution (or at least I was the other day), but I think I'd struggle in horde.

Nadia does well with it, very well actually. I recommend she be the sniper if she plays. If not, I suppose I could give it a shot...I'm passable, managed to pop Nadia last night.

Yeah, she's exactly like the female equivalent of Captain America, now that I think about it. Both were genetically modified to be peak humans. I also see a bit of Jean Grey, Black Cat and.... Elektra maybe, in her.jtav wrote...
@Meg Yeah. It's less the biotics per se, than the fact that she's implied to be as fast, strpng, smart, etc. as a person can get without having superpowers. If any of you are comics fans, she's peak human. I wanted to see that in action.
Jean Grey because she has that mindset where she feels she isn't being productive if she isn't working toward something. Black Cat because she lives in a sort of grey area morally. She's mostly good, but she'll do some questionable things to get what she wants if she believes it's important enough. And Elektra because she can be quite vicious. Elektra is known killing a ridiculous amount of peple, more than most other superherions, IIRC. I think Miranda has plenty of blood on her own hands and the reason for that ties back into the morally grey area of the Black Cat persona.
And sorry for the lack of DC references. I'm a Marvel fangirl, myself.

That was better than my dodgy choice of words!
And yes, Nadia is an awesome sniper, but I don't know if she'll be on. I hope so though.

I've tried soloing horde to see how difficult it is and I managed to get up to wave 7 I think. Only tried it on Pavilion though. Don't really like the other modes.andysilv87 wrote...

Me too. Are you familiar with the 90s Spidey cartoon? I tend to think of her as like that version of Felicia only with a lousy relationship with Dad. Sometimes I even hear Jennifer Hale's voice in my head when I write her.MegWithAMouth wrote...

And, yes, she's pretty much a female Steve, with a bit of Natasha thrown in. Does that make Shep Bucky?

That's actually the version of Black Cat that I was thinking of when I said that. Though I had completely forgotten that Jennifer Hale did her voice. I think I can see where your views of Miranda come from a bit easier when I look at Miranda in that way. It definitely fits, that's for sure.jtav wrote...

Okay, now I'm the one squeeing at the mere mention of a Miranda/Black Cat team up. That would be amazing. They would kick so much ass. Peter and Shepard would definitely have their hands full with that duo.jtav wrote...
Meg, I'm sitting here squeeing that somebody else remembers the cartoon. That version of Cat is pretty much my favorite female character ever, helped along by the fact that the writers seemed to confuse MJ with Gwen. Can you imagine a Miranda/Black Cat team up?
I wonder if they would get along. One side of me says "without a doubt" and the other says "they're too much alike". Hm.

Hey I found you a second time but I was alone then and YOU chainsawed me!
I saw that! I was rooting for you if it makes you feel better. They were impossible to flush out of their hidey-hole.
I know right? Everytime I got killed I watched them hiding there and then I thought, this time I know where you are! So I run over there and then realise there's no way to sneak in and get them, had no grenades either so I just charged with my shotty and got my ass handed to me on a plate!
we saw you trying to ambush us from the side andy and we were dying laughing!!!!
