Us Mirifans that are close to the Euro time zone are few and far between.

I'd spent all weekend arranging this and making sure everyone was good for it, and then I get screwed over half an hour or so beforehand because somebody starts whining. That's what pisses me off.Breakdown Boy wrote...

As far as I'm aware there's nobody left, so it would just be Andy and I. And it does tick me off because I can only play with you guys once or twice a week and when I go to the effort of organising something so I can join in and then get screwed over last minute it hurts, it upsets me.Nadia73 wrote...

GoW2, Horde mode.
I don't really don't LAN (or own Xbox) online due the 3rd world standard of internet in Africa, making bandwidth too expensive. So I can't relate but I can amagine that it would suck @ss!
But there is hope, the first commercial uncapped ADSL internet has just been launched last week, and it is creating a price war! Only a matter of time before we too can afford to use cheap

To get back on topic.....
Good morning, everyone.
Hope everyone else had a good gaming night/day/morning or whichever it was in your timezone. I'm still not finished with my ME1 game - couldn't bring myself to continue BdtS last night, those damn turrets are too annoying. This was to be the perfect game, but no luck - even though I cheated more C/I points into my game, it wasn't enough and I couldn't take the Charm option with Toombs (needs 10, I got 9
And.... 40 minutes on the tram and I miss page 1100.

As usual, nice work. But who's that in the red armor, and where's that armor from?Breakdown Boy wrote...

I think its always Shepard standing next to Miranda. As to the armor? Wouldn't have a clue. Its likely just a tinted default one. Different arm armor or something.Ieldra2 wrote...

It remains unclear. Usually a dynasty - as in influential or ruling family - does not require genetic engineering, just real power and extraordinary familial cohesion, expressed for instance in the willingness of children to continue the dynasty.AwesomeEffect2 wrote...
Can someone explain to me what Miranda meant by her father wanting a dynasty?
What I'm getting out of the scarce information is that he wants some kind of genetic aristocracy with himself as its founder. This kind of ambition IMO almost always overlooks that usually power is not necessarily tied to competence, except in competence for politics and people management. Those social skills, unfortunately for him, are not tied to specific genetic traits but mostly the result of how you grow up and learn. Thus, he inevitably gets a result like Miranda: physically superior and intellectually competent, but not drawn to, and thus not that good in, politics and people management.
Ironically, Oriana, having grown up away from her biological father, is probably better qualified to continue a dynasty than Miranda.
@Karstedt, Arijharn:
Thanks for the explanation. Not having a cheerleader culture in my country, and avoiding sports events in the first place, it's no surprise I didn't know.

--Tali is whiny? Not my opinion, but yes, she has improved drastically.jtav wrote...
Random observations while replaying ME:
--Tali was whiny in the first game. Much improved in ME2.
--Planet scanning is dull, but the Mako is worse.
--Ashley, Garrus, and Kaidan are cool. Hope to see them again.
--Biotics are even cooler.
--I keep mentally inserting Miranda into the story. What if Cerberus sent her to spy on Shepard and make sure the first human Spectre succeeded?
--I don't think the Mako in itself is dull. It's the amount of driving around combined with being stuck in canyons and suchlike that drives you to distraction. Planet scanning is worse IMO. At least driving the Mako is fun for the first hour instead of the first few minutes.
--Agreement about Ashley and Garrus. Kaidan has potential, but he needs a stronger personality to be a good romance option for Shepard.
