Haha, the worst ones are the ones that are sightseeing while walking... and stop right infront of you to take an photo ugh.... I'm always like get on one of those sightseeing buses leave walking in the city to the pros.

Lol, the pros. Very true though. I /facepalm every time one of them almost gets hit by a car when they're looking at the buildings in awe <_<

Well, I had been wanting to visit NYC, but if regular, non-spaztic people are almost hit by cars then that might not be such a good idea after all...

NYC is awesome you have to come sometime... you'll be fine if you dont do anything completely retarted and you keep to Manhattan for the most part.

QFT! Except for the Manhattan part. It can be a nightmare for newbies to the city to go to Manhattan. You'll probably get ripped off too. That's why you need a New Yorker to tell you where to go ;)

And hi Nadia!

Yea they will get ripped off (happens to every tourist once in a while) but its better for them to be caught out in Manahattan then in Brooklyn or Queens its more tourist friendly.... and Manhattan is a grid... Avenue's go up and down Streets go across and you've got it solved!

@Darth: I might be able to make it on Friday. No promises but I told Andy I would make an effort to be there.

Here's hoping you can be there! Don't put yourself under pressure though, I'd hate for you to make yourself sicker on my part. :)

Hm, now that I think about it we have more than 5. Nadia, Darth, you, Flashy, Odin, and possibly Meg, Kab, and me.

Move Nads into the possible category as she hasn't been asked yet.  For that matter nor have Meg or Kab.

nads?? as in gonads? oh no no!! that just won't do.

and yes i am playing.. i was squeeeeeing earlier about how i have friday off so pencil me in darla.

No such thing as tourist friendly! We profit off of their ignorance!  And then we have to deal with their stupid habits too <_<
Manhattan is probably better if you're going alone. Brooklyn or the rest of the boroughs you'll need a buddy

@Vyn: PM me! Or I can wait until later. If it's worth it, I can be patient. You know Nadia and Odin and everyone else enjoys a good story as much as I do so I'll leave it up to you.

And as far as visiting NYC goes... I would definitely have to talk to you and fire beforehand so you could give me a list of things to avoid/not do. I have a feeling I would fall into the "idiot tourist" category far too easily.

I've been to NYC. Great city, even if it's not completely wheelchair friendly (though the disabled discounts for shows is fantastic) Alas, I was limited to where I could walk because I couldn't figure out the bus map.

There's a disabled discount for shows? I was not aware of that. You didn't use that Access-a-Ride service? I know the buses are wheelchair friendly. The maps are difficult to figure out for a newcomer I guess. The city is in a grid like pattern but the bus drivers are not always reliable.

Yeah, got orchestra seats to Wicked just after it opened for $25. I was unaware of the existence of Access-a-Ride at the time.

I was actually considering getting it while I was out tonight.Though I'm afraid I'd have to mute my mic to save you all from the string of curses and squeals that would inevitably come from my end as the zombies scared the **** out of me.

@Meg: I don't really mind but maybe the other will get a good laugh at it. Lol, you definitely need to come talk to use before you do any sightseeing. I can point out all the good places to visit as well.

@Nadia: What??? I-...that's not fair! I want to hear the cackle! I'm not using it because its always loud here so you probably won't hear my voice.

@Jtav: Wow, sweet deal.

Which reminds me, I know some good stories about celebrities that went to the hotel my father works at. I've even met a few!

This is a page about a disturbing game genre from japan... read at your own risk.

i am very ashamed of Japan.. not that these are anything new though. There is no excuse they can make for them being acceptable and if you play these games, you should be sealed in a wooden barrel and sunk to the bottom of the ocean.

This may be controversial, so bear with me. Would I be correct in assuming Miranda prefers to keep, her romances casual with minimal investment on her end and few to no serious relationships prior to the game? She strikes me as someone who allows herself to grow close to someone--as friend or lover--only rarely to minimize the chance of being betrayed or someone hurting her with her insecurities or generally getting her heart broken.

@Nadia: That is beyond sick. I can't believe that people spend their time and effort creating something like that. It really makes you wonder about people.

@fire: I won't be visiting anytime soon, but thanks. I'll be sure to remember that.

I agree with the statement and doesn't sound controversial to my ears... I would say that if Miranda dates Shepard then she might finally break this cycle...

yep.. unfortunately these things do exist and there's a roomful of guys somewhere getting all excited about these games and actually envisioning doing these things to women.

nice.

they'll let this go on for so long and then suddenly all hell will break loose and governments/states/whatever will start banning EVERYTHING with any kind of sexual content in it because they're too stupid to differentiate the good from the bad just to shut people up.

brains and common sense are not required to work in government... this has been proven.

Not that I would ever want to have anything to do with that, if somebody does have violent rape fantasies I would rather they live them out in a game than express them anywhere else.  After all nobody is hurt in a game.

Still...that is just disturbing...

Agreed. I think she would involuntarily allow herself to open up and become more vulnerable with Shepard. We've already seen a little bit of that in ME2.

I think she says at some point that having people you care about is a weakness, she certainly feels that her feelings for her sister is a weakness because she is very protective of even her existance.

Wow, my neighbor's internet fails. I need to hack into a better one.

@Nadia: I still can't believe that there are people who would make such a thing.
