Well it's a bit bizarre but that's what makes it funny. I'm assuming it was some random person originally.

Yep, very quiet at this hour. Not really much going on. I have to go get some lunch soon so I'll be off in a couple of minutes.

Heh...I always thought getting something in the OP was prize enough. It certainly was for me....;)
On the other side, it always feels like shameless self-plugging when I tell someone to read the Miranda Manifest. I do it anyway, and no one has told me off yet. So what we've earned is some bragging rights, I guess.

Minor quibble though guys, shouldn't it be the Miranda Manifesto rather than manifest? I mean the Miranda Shipping list doesn't sound right as opposed to the statement of opinions/motives regarding Miranda. Manifest Miranda makes more sense.

Hmm...my dictionary says you're correct. What I don't know as a non-native speaker is if dropping the "o" is acceptable in everyday usage. It seems like it is, else someone else would surely have complained.

Maybe I've also taken this too seriously....

Where am I supposed to go when I use that link? For me it goes to the main ME2 site.

Edit:
I don't know what he gets from anyone following that link, but it's spam - he's posted the exact same thing in several thread. Don't use it.

@Ieldra - it's a Bazaar thing. More people that click on it, more tokens he gets.
As regards the Manifest/Manifesto - it's just something that's been bugging me for a while and I decided to actually post something about it rather than let it continue to niggle.

no he's absolutely right. i've just gotten well past complaining about grammar/spelling on the internet... especially when my own typing can be atrocious.

So, the Bazaar rules encourage people to spam forums with links (I guess it works for any forum)? Yeah, great idea. I wonder when I'll get the first spam mail teliing me to "click here". Should've known it's nothing but a sleazy marketing ploy. Viral marketing, indeed.

Tell DarthReavus to change it, perhaps? I don't recall who's thought of that term first. It wasn't me. But if it's incorrect, it should be changed. I have used the term because I didn't know it was incorrect. I hope I - as a non-native speaker - can be excused.

@JK:
I don't care too much about grammar in forum posts. But anything with some pretension to permanence - as the Miranda Manifesto has come to be - should be written in reasonably correct language. If I get complaints about this article of mine, I won't brush them off.

Generally, I ignore it as well, but when you're seeing it on a regular basis in the same place and there's a chance you can get it corrected...

My newfound "Miranda-as-Jane-Austen-heroine" kick has me wondering: what kind of books does Miranda like? Does she even read for pleasure?

In other news, the Shep in my head is becoming even more perfect. Captain Carrot crossed with Miles Vorkosigan crossed with Captain Wentworth. I blame Miranda. She really does settle for nothing but the best.

Sorry jtav but that just went straight over my head.... you seem to have an outstanding amount of literary knowledge...  I'm happy that you reside in our thread, I seem to learn something new everyday.
