As I said, I use my phone which is about 6 years old. Sometimes it charges, other times it doesn't. It's been on it's last legs for a while now.

I should really stop moaning now, lol.

Jeez Andy, just go down to Carphone warehouse (or, hell, Tesco's!) and get yourself another, it'll set you back what 30 quid at most?

I know. It's one of those things I keep meaning to do but not getting to. :innocent:

Something I've been wondering about. Several crew members (hi Ken!) make rather lewd comments about Miranda. Do you think that kind of thing bothers her or that she ever finds it difficult to do her job because some people don't take her seriously because she's, well, gorgeous? Sexism does seem alive and well in ME.

It'd be hard to tell, I'm sure it's not the first time comments about her are being made - so it might be something she's used to. I know before I got interested in enlisting, I was pretty overweight (305lbs -> 210lbs) and was made fun of for my weight my entire life - eventually got used to it and actually turned it into a joke.

IE: Someone would call me fat - I'd be like "Ya man, I know. But damn are those jelly donuts tempting" etc.

I'm sure Miranda is either beyond the point of caring what they say - or if she is bothered by it, it's a very minor thing. Rolls her eyes at it and continues.

@Prudil: I was seriously miffed that NY was excluded but I guess I'll have to wait and see what Bioware has in store for us New Yorkers. Thanks for the link.
@Andy: 6 years? I'm surprised that its still working.
@Jtav: I think she has gotten used to it. Remember the merc in the loyalty mission who essentially called her a ****? Even in a high-stress situation she didn't lose her composure. She's too aloof to let such comments affect her. I think she would get a thrill out of proving herself to those who doubt her. She kind of does this the first time Shepard questions her.

I think actually she cultivates that as a form of intimidation and a way to keep her distance from people.  She hints about that, her looks giving her an edge.

I did not think Ken and the other engineers Miranda lines were very funny though.  I sorta wanted a renegade interrupt or something.

Well its been over for a couple minutes now. What Odin was talking about earlier still applies. They did talk about ME2 and Chuck though, nothing about ME3. Other than that, nothing else that was actually useful <_<

No, I don't think it bothers her. People not taking her seriously plays to her advantage because they underestimate her a lot. Also they develop a wrong impression of her and she can use that to manipulate them. I honestly think that the only opinions that matter to her are those of her "equals"/peers. Those are the people she might feel the need to prove herself to (Shep, Mordin, maybe even Samara?).

*groan*

She clearly always gets a little uncomfortable being a sex symbol.  Taking the conversation in that direction doesn't tend to result in her best.

Oh well.  Hopefully it will still be good.

She is not going to the next Comic Con? I think that was it. I don't remember because I was /facepalming at Hardwick. She said she had Laker tickets.

Did she sound like she enjoyed doing VO work?  She is really great at it I hope she decides to become the next Jennifer Hale or whatever when she gets aged out of being the fanservice actress of the month.

I wouldn't be so hopeful. Guess what kind of questions Hardwick was asking.

Me too. I don't find sexual harrassment funny.

Remember that Miranda/Morinth story I mentioned? One of the plot points is that she let's people assume what they like about her sexuality. The crew reaction to the news that she'll be seducing an asari is about what you'd expect, and she doesn't see why she should give Donelly and friends more ammo for no appreciable benefit unless she's directly asked. May have to rethink that.

@Valmy: Nothing enlightening about doing the VA work. Hardwick was focusing on the sex scene.

@Prudil: Very useful. Hopefully, it will be worth my while to be patient.

But...she had nothing to do with that, that was all the graphic guys work.

Ah well.  Worthless.

Watching guys hit on women is painful even when it is you doing it.  Heck especially when it is you doing it.

I guess somebody finds that entertaining.

That is the thing...Yvonne doesn't like it so it sorta ruins the interview.  You see she is uncomfortable and you feel uncomfortable for her.

Ah well I will still watch it and try not to /faceplam too much.  It is a pity since she doesn't give many interviews.
