Neither do I. The only thing I could come up with was that Shep is pretending that Miranda and the Normandy crew happen to work for an organization with the same name that has nothing to do with ME Cerberus. That can't end well.
Anybody got better justifications?
There is a hint in the Codex that Cerberus leadership may have changed. That could lead to a change of policy. If Miranda had no part in Akuze, and Cerberus policy had changed, there would be a chance for them. It would still take more time than the game gives us to be convincing, but it's possible.
Fortunately my Sole Survivor is a femShep...

Actually, I sometimes think it's surprising that Miranda is as popular as she is. She makes a somewhat distant first impression and remains ambiguous throughout the game. I like that, but I didn't think so many others would.

I think he skills and general competence at least make her respected as a character.
I finished another huge EE assignment yesterday and can finally sit down and watch Yvonne's interview...wow...painful...

For the "continuity errors make my head hurt" file: Timeline says the Blitz took place in 2176. Yet, in ME Haliat says he instigated the attack three years ago, in 2180. Which was it?
Ieldra: If there was a policy change, it was recent, since Cerberus is very much the mustache-twirling villain in Ascension. I'm starting to feel sorry I ever came up with "Miranda had a hand in Akuze" theory I don't think she did, but I would have loved for Bioware to put in a throwaway line about how people like Wayne damage Cerberus' reputation and she's glad to see justice was done

I try to ignore the timeline as much as possible. I mean the timeline suggests humanity just arrived on the galactic stage a few decades ago but everybody acts as if they have been around for a century or more.
