The timeline is fantastic in its inconsistency. I think Haliat's comment is just some writer getting it wrong. I've been trying to find if the Jon Grissom Academy was already built or under construction during the Blitz.jtav wrote...

1.) I can't spell. (2.) I don't see how the Akuze Shepard would be angry or resistant to Miranda. Cerberus works in seperate cells. The Lazurus project is probably one of the first or the biggest project Miranda has supervised/worked on for cerberus. She may not have anything to do with Akuze and for shepard to blame one woman for the attack is a little over the top. Cerberus is like mcdonalds. (they both do strange experiments with meat) anyway They all have the same name but there are different people working in them. Sometimes the food is better at one mcdonalds than the other one. Sometimes there is one that is nasty and discusting but you dont blame mcdonalds you blame the manager. You dont charcterize all mcdonalds as nasty and discusting just that one store. So when Miranda says, "it's not Cerberus, not really," I get what she means. (i guess, im probably just reading to far into this though) Cerberus is supossed to be known for all the good things it does (what few there are) not the corrupt cells that go rogue and kill an entire military platoon. But once you have so many cells you cant keep track of all of them. But jack does have a good argument with, "it was cerberus, I dont care how far down the chain it was. I think Miranda has nothing to do with akuze and she resigns from cerberus in the end anyway so sole survivor shepard gets his happy ending.

I don't know if any of you have read the "Abridged Mass Effect" parody, but there's a joke that Miranda is constantly saying "pick me, pick me!" during the suicide mission. Shep chooses her for the barrier, with the usual result. She does seem to think quite highly of her biotics. I suspect it drives her crazy that she is (in game terms) average and that Jack is better despite having no discipline or control.
