Andy, it looks like the fun's about to start
hey guys!!! glad you all are here!!
and about that link.... what the hell? there is not a huge difference so why did they bother???? and i cannot BELIEVE they censored the zombs on fire... what reasons did they give? "gratuitous guts"? that's just weird.
*plans to fly to Austrailia with all sorts of promo L4D items and videos and treats to give to the masses*
screw censorship, man! i will get CRAZY if they ever start to screw with our video games over here... heads will roll:ph34r:
and as a disclaimer that i wouldn't really get 'crazy'
I'm so glad you're back Nadia, I'm giggling already.

Funnily enough Kab, "think of the children!" is precisely the reason Guardian gave for the censorship. Though apparently there's been a petition signed by over 46,000 people including himself demanding that the original version be permitted at an 18 rating rather than the censored crap they've got now.
Until they allow it, Guardian's boycotting L4D2.
well it's not really Valve's fault so boycotting the game is hurting them actually.
i say boycott the office people who banned it in the first place. sit outside their houses and howl all night or something... do something you can get away with legally.
and... 'think of the children'? i love that.
meanwhile, as they're protecting 5 kids from the 'horrible game', there are thousands of kids living on the streets homeless, thousands of kids being beaten at home or worse, but dagnabbit- they won't see any FLAMING ZOMBIES in Left 4 Dead 2!!! Thank the heavens!!!

Exactly. I grew up playing games and some of the first ones I played as a kid were games like Duke Nukem, Mortal Kombat, and Doom. I turned out fine. There are more important issues in the world that should be dealt with. Leave this one up to the parents since its their job.Nadia73 wrote...

Well, I was pretty ignorant of what was going on in the game. I was like 6 or 7 when I played them. It was just point and shoot and you win the game for me.DarthReavus wrote...

Wow, Vyn you are a pure badass. I haven't even played Duke Nukem
Edit: Don't know why I said forever, lol. That's the one they've been making forever, right? Lol.

It depends. If you have played *any* shooters on the PC, you should be fine. Controls are also very customizeable. If you've never played a shooter on a PC, I don't know. I guess it's easier to adapt to keyboard and mouse than to a gamepad, because at least everyone knows keyboards and mouses in the first place. But it's a different way of sitting and a different way to position yours arms and hands. It might take some time to adapt.jtav wrote...
Question: how hard is it to get accustomed to the PC ME/ME2 controls if you're used to the Xbox version? I'm considering getting the PC version of both for the express purpose of downloading saves. ME is tedious. I haven't played ME2 for almost a month because I've been trying to get my imports just so.
BTW:
I'll try to post something more substantial about Miranda's moral compass in time. But I have to think about it more, and midnight approaches....

Don't even get me started on the current British Government! Thankfully there's a General Election in a month or two so hopefully they'll be voted out. They've been in power for 13 years and done virtually nothing for the country, just lined their own pockets.Nadia73 wrote...

And duuude. Duke Nukem was totally boss! I remember playing co-op campaign with my brother-in-law when I was in junior high. I really wish that game and Goldeneye were on xbox and could be played on LIVE. I love those games!

Hence my anarchy.
Vyn: definitely, my granmother is a retired nurse and she has told me horror stories about the ER and even the mental wards she worked at the majority of her career. That is real, games are not... so maybe they should work to correct an actual problem.
Yes, I know... a government actually deigning to fix a problem and try to make life better for all. Again... hence my anarchy.
