gamestop rips us off no matter what really... amazon always has the same sale going on plus free shipping. i'll shop in Gamestop stores.. but i'm very wary of their 'deals'. they are just out to make money and will sell you total, scratched, unusable crapola if you allow it.

oh and i LOVE how when you buy a NEW game with them, they slap an opened one on the counter and expect you to pay the same for it as a new one.

I go to the Gamestop here because I like the manager and the employees.  I have spent hours just talking games with them.  But mostly I use them for used games and a midnight new release event or two.  Though most new releases are the same price between Amazon and Gamestop.... so I'll go there if that is the case.  Though if it is even a few bucks cheaper on Amazon, I'll buy there since I have Prime.

I'm all for supporting some posters if they are honest about it... I do not like rolling over a dsguised link to see the token code or to click such a link thinking it is something else.

While I will leave after this because when I talk about my job, I get ragey, I'm just gonna say the common "internet hate" of Gamestop (to which sometimes people base off of other stories) is really, REALLY annoying. Yes we take back scratched discs as defective. Yes, every copy has a chance of being defective. You do know that on used games you have a seven day trial to get a full tendered refund? If the game craps out on you, you have thirty days to bring it back? All you have to do? Keep your receipt.

Hell you can buy a one year warranty on the game and as long as it doesn't crack you can bring it back. That's only 3.25. I don't see what you're complaining about. At all. "Oh well I went in and this game they had, they're the only ones who had it. I played it and it didn't work."

TOUGH **** go get your refund. At least you got the chance to see if the only one available works. Seriously.

I wish I could still get refunds on PC games. Its been something like over a decade since I was able to do that. <_<

This is why I only buy something like 1-2 games a year. I can't afford to blow money on games willy nilly... especially when they cost $120 new these days (****ty aussie prices).
