I kind of wish they went and retconned the entire timeline in ME2. As you mentioned, its so completely screwed.

We know that her father is a business who was helping fund Cerberus but since he is only a business man, did he essentially hire Cerberus to help start his genetic dynasty project? If Cerberus had helped Miranda's father's project he would already know of Miranda and her abilities and TIM would already have a vested interest in Miranda and thus would've easily taken her onboard when she ran away.

We know that Miranda got her biotics after her birth though how remains a mystery. We also know that Cerberus at one point was interested in Jack because of her biotic potential. Could they have tried to put Jack's biotics into Miranda?

I wonder if Miranda interacted with her sisters or did they get killed before she knew them?

I think it's pretty difficult to answer without having more information on her past. A lot of stuff is very much guess work at the moment.

I've got to agree with Andy on this one.  None of us can possibly answer that honestly because the simple is that we aren't the writers of the ME series so we can't possibly know for certain.

Thanks for at least responding. They were just questions and ideas that popped into my brain. Speculation can provoke interesting discussions.

Let's hope Bioware does clear up some things in ME3. They could try to make an official encyclopedia on the main website if they don't bother to put it in the codex.
