About the cover name, while it's possible Lawson is her given name, it would make it ridiculously easy for her father to track her, especially since Miranda Lawson clearly exists in the Citadel databanks.

@Mavi: I think a comic or a novel set prior to ME2 would be more suited to expand on jtav's idea.



Imagine in one instance, Miranda being sent to clean up some cell that "went rogue" (according to TIM) during the ME timeframe, only to find herself face to face for the first time with Shepard's work, but of course never meeting Shep himself.



I fear a book like the one you mention won't show much of the main characters stories, if at all. They seem to be more peripheral than Redemption.



@Silt: Very cute. Besides wishing Bioware would make and sell a high detail 8 inch PVC statuette of Miranda, I now also wish they'd make something like that.

I think she brings a certain level of subtlety to all of her characters.  There is unspoken communication that comes through even in an entirely vocal part like Miranda.  That might be an interesting question to ask.

'Often what is most interesting about your characters is not what they do say but what they do not say.  How do you go about approaching your character to be able to effectively communicate those unspoken cues?'

Or something like that.  Of course the answer may be as simple as 'your character is feeling X and I do X'

I think her father knows exactly where she is but Cerberus is protecting her.  So long as TIM is protecting her, he cannot touch her.

As for her name, I don't see a problem with her using her real name. She was under Cerberus protection, and as she says, even her father does not dare cross TIM.
