In game, Miranda will fall for a Shep of pretty much any personality type. But what kind of guy is her usual type? What attracts her? Repulses her? I admit I don't find Shepard very interesting in and of himself, so I usually design my Sheps with their role as Miranda's partner and foil in mind.

Personally, I think she would be drawn towards a Shepard who is tough and able minded, capable of making some sacrifices in the line of duty, and I think at least her equal in terms of dominance.  Also, I actually think she desires a compassionate, kind man at heart.  Her "no promises" hug and scenes about her sister allude to her need for that compassion and kindness.

The result of me being half asleep, trying to remember what photo I'm basing it on, and wanting to bash my head against the wall. Scanner broke so I had to do it the old fashioned way with a camera. Like I said before, its not nearly complete. Very rough and basic sketch I made with my handy dandy mechanical pencil that I might finish sometime in the future.

I was a caddy for several years at a private country club. As far as I can tell, people golf because they enjoy complaining about how much they suck, throwing clubs, swearing, complaining more about how badly they suck, drinking, and more whining about how they suck.
