Didn't say it did.  Only that while motives may be selfish they might also be alot of other things and also since you cannot reliably predict people are going to do a particular selfish thing (though what they end up doing will probably be selfish in some respect) it sort of becomes meaningless.  People may do a less selfish thing or a more selfish thing or not except when they do.

But anyway doing something selflessly does not mean it is good or doing something selfishly does not mean it is bad.  After all trying to design society so that people acting selfishly benefits as many people as possible is something we have been working on with varying degrees of success for awhile.

Kejji I believe, I want to see it but would it be possible to do... I've never seen two NPC's have relationships like that in a game.

Not having actually played the DLC, I can't say how well it would work. Mostly I want Jacob to grow a spine and commit to something. He seems to live in a permanent state of "maybe" I suspect that was a leading cause of his breakup with Miranda. He lacks her sense of purpose.

As meaningless as saying, cars run on gasoline. Most do, but some run on diesel or alternative fuels. Since you can't generally open the hood of a person and see what kind of engine they have, defaulting them to transient status until proven otherwise isn't unreasonable.

But no more debate for me. I'm starting to mess up in freecell, meaning I'm almost exausted enough to sleep.

Heh. I've been going back over my Miranda fic and I really don't like it. Guess I'll add rewriting it to my ever growing list of Miranda ideas I will probably never work on.

Thanks, I think.I wish I'd read Ascension first. So much I'd have done differently. Made Miranda innocently complicit in what happened to Gillian instead of Akuze, made Shep nicer, happy ending.

I was very sincere jtav. Also, I ordered the three novels last night (well the first two and pre-ordered the next one).

I enjoyed Ascension. It's not great literature, but it's engaging.

And now I'm wondering if I should go back and fiddle with it. Darn thing is bugging me now. Stories are supposed to be done when they're done.

Perhaps its worth it this time around if you had the wrong impression of Miranda? I would like to see what you can come up with. Your writing is very good.

Errr, that didn't come out right. I mean now that you have more insight into Cerberus and such it might be worth it to redo it? Oh! Don't change the original because its very good, but you could do like a version 2.0 deal and write the alternate version in tandem.
