It went over your head. I was just making a joke to reflect how silly this all was.

So I was thinking last night (while getting my ass kicked by drakes in DA:O and then by Irenicus in BG2) that there's some similarities between Miranda and Leliana. Both are strong women with abusive pasts who put up facades, and whose relationship with the player character ultimately helps them get over their issues to some extent. I wonder if that's why it seems (at least to me) that a lot of Miri fans go for Leliana.
Of course I was getting munched by drakes at the time so I could be off.

Love that hug gif. That's my favorite scene in the game. And the tummy hug one is nice too.

I really do need to play DA:O I have it for PC and 360 and I can't seem to get into it.

Sorry but you've just done something that's a pet peeve of mine. If you're going to quote something, quote it precisely. Don't quote it in a paraphrase that reads as condescending, dismissive and downright insulting.gutty47 wrote...

Meh don't worry about it - unintentional upsets go with the territory on the net.

CaseyH-ME2: We actually want to make sure these characters survive the ME2 story, which ultimately is a suicide mission: some of your crew will almost certainly die. Some of the ME1 characters are back, and recruitable (more than you might think), and the ones that aren't still play an important role in the story and will be around for ME3 - which we can't say for the new characters.

Okay, I know Kasumi's quote about Miranda smiling has been mentioned in here before, but what about this? I don't remember seeing it posted in here before.
"Oh, Shepard. The engine room! Really? Right there where Tali works? Okay, I have to know. Just how genetically modified is she? Because... wow!"

Its very vague, and Miranda is so ****ing hard to kill to begin with even if she isn't loyal.

Seems to point to none of the ME2 cast returning.
SB: Haven't gone soft. Always like this. But sometimes I think the fact that Miranda is part of an organization that has done horrible things gets glossed over. As for her father being abusive, well that made so much sense for me that I added it to my personal canon? That what you meant by torture?

Oh if that means none of the ME2 characters are back I'm going to be so pissed. That's why I'm not going to touch Awakenings, already like my DA party so much I'm not going anywhere without them.
SO PISSED!

A lot of people are putting too much emphasis on this quote, or maybe I'm not taking it seriously enough. To me it seems like hype for the second game.

Well when you think about it, they couldn't say anything about the ME2 characters regarding ME3 because then that would be giving potential spoilers. That and obviously some of them we know have a chance of not being around anyway even if they did survive the suicide mission.
Miranda if she survives the suicide mission is naturally going to stay on because her goal has always been to help combat the reapers.
In my opinion people are making far too big a thing out of this. Naturally aided by some of the sad low lifes that are bitter at how their ME faves were handled in ME2. Though once again it falls down to the aforementioned quote making something bigger than it really was.

Which makes me wonder, how would Miranda handle the Zombie Apocolypse?
