In a vain attempt to live up to my title:
Is there anything that could be revealed about Miranda in ME3 that would destroy your affection for her. I have two:
1) Her father was merely cold or distant and had never done anything to warrant taking Oriana. I take a dim view of child kidnappers and an even dimmer view of being manipulated so thoroughly.
2) She knowingly implanted Reaper tech into Shepard and knew there was a risk of indoctrination.
I don't rate either scenario as likely.
Neither of these scenarios would bother me in the slightest.
For your first scenario, cold/distance is a matter of perspective anyways. From Miranda, you are going to hear that her father was an abusive S.O.B. and from her father himself, you are going to hear a number of reasons why Miranda was wrong to take Oriana from him. I have a feeling this scenario could come up, but it's a matter of who you believe and who you don't believe. Miranda isn't going to admit that she wasn't abused to you, otherwise it wouldn't make sense for her to have taken her sister at all.
For the second, that also wouldn't bother me. I play as a Renegade Shepard and as such, I have the view that humanity should do everything necessary to stop the Reapers. If using their technology against them is what is necessary. However, I strongly doubt this scenario will happen anyways. If Miranda had implanted Reaper technology into Shepard that would run a risk of him being indoctrinated, why didn't the Reapers use that against him when he took on the Collector Base? I was under the impression that creating the Human-Reaper was necessary to bring about the destruction of organic life again and once Shepard ruined that plan, they said "we will find another way." Why would the Reapers not use that technology to stop him in the first place?
