Yeah, sorry. Ship---IFF---Relay

And MA, if I may be so arrogant, this is me writing it that we're talking about. I have slightly higher standards. I don't pu in anything that's gratuitous, or at least I try not to.

Not sure if this has been discussed or not already, but I came across a humorous theory as to why Miranda chose the engine room for lovin'.

"Miranda knew Tali had the hots for Shep, so she nipped it in the bud by claiming him in the place most dear to Tali. If you listen to the cutscene intensely, you can hear the tears of a quarian in the background as they slowly fall to the floor.

I always assumed that was the reason Miranda choose the engine room. Most people, women and men, are extremely jealous of a previous lover, wife/husband, close friend of the opposite sex. I think they carried this off very well as it showed even more that Miranda really loves Shep. For, without love there can be no jealously. On top of this women just have that rub your face in it mentality."

I laughed a little bit as a read it since the ending was obviously a sexist joke but I still found the basic premise of the theory interesting.

I was just stating that I trust you and your writing enough to make it tasteful (not in so many words, I'm really tired at the moment and watching Dave Chappelle stand up).

I don't think thats the reason at all. I think it was the most secure/private area on the ship without any bugs or surveillance devices.

As I said, it was a humorous theory. Though, if you flipped through the console in the room that you see Zaeed, isn't there a channel that shows the engine room? Not this makes for a counterargument or anything, as that was just a minute detail in the channels that were available on the console.

It certainly would make sense that she would pick it for not having bugs, Mordin was doing you a favor and told you to beware of them .

A lot of people have said that the engine room is the only area where everyone can see into, but I ran around and tried really hard to see the area where Shep and Miranda hook up, but its like next to impossible to look down at that exact area. As far as the security camera goes I think it shows a different angle of the engine room, someone with the PC version that can zoom in will have to confirm. Also that camera could be easily turned off.

:P Nah man I was only joking around. The fic ain't bad, it has waaay too little substance. Its mainly just about Shep and Miranda flirting and boning the entire time...well just boning. At least the person is putting words on paper, which is more than I can say for myself. Its called Moments and its on FF.net

Yup as far as timelines go, I set myself up with a key to give me an idea of how much time passes during the events of ME2:

Travel between clusters: 2-4 days

Travel between systems: 1-2 days

Time spent mining one planet: 1 day

Missions: Less than 24 hours each

Travel through the Omega 4 Relay: 1 day (Shepard and Miranda would have to spend the night together)

So really depending on how you played, the events of ME2 could take a wide variety of times. A generic "playthrough" however? Most likely a month and a half, maybe more.

Wow wouldn't let me post the first time, said server error. Well here's my timetable anyway..

speaking of FF.net... just found this on there... XD

The novel is a Sci/Fi Dark Fantasy titled "We Citizens Are Good to Eat." The story concerns a fatally overpopulated future Earth, where all that the citizens have to eat is each other; and they thank God for every meal.

THAT'S nasty... but hilarious at the same time!!!!
