****. I think my Xbox is about to die...

Well, at least I don't feel so alone anymore. Scotch? *Produces bottle out of thin air*

Thanks.

Went to turn it on... it was on but blank screen.  Tried again, it went to the menu for the game, wouldn't connect to LIVE then frozed... took a minute to turn off.  It seems to be working now.

Really, Microsoft better take the next console seriously.  This is ****ing ridiculous.  This thing is only a year old and it's having problems?  My PS3 is still my launch console and I use it far more than the 360.

Just a question, where do you have the system anyways?

On a venitllated shelving unit with free space on all sides.  I dust it daily as well.

It is well taken care of, believe me.

hmm, is it near anything hot that give strong radition (example, do you have a DVD player beside it)

Nope.

And I think we need to get Shin back on his meds... he's starting that walk again.

How funny would it be if Yvonne Strahovski actually is the user of that profile? I think it would be odd but kinda cool at the same time xD

It would be more than kind of cool Image IPB

Sometimes I feel like the only person who wouldn't want to romance a RL Miranda. Shin's post is making me a bit green around the gills.

Trust me you're not the only one :?

And good afternoon everyone :D
Started working on that sketch of Miranda at school. Almost ready for coloring.

You and me both. I would be interested in a RL Miranda, and for much the same reasons I like her in the game, but would not deceive myself into believing she would react favorably to words like those.:?

And...er...you have gills? Genetically modified, are you :P

No, Mavi. She's gorgeous (enough that I did a double take) but we'd kill each other within a week.

Oh, I like the Cerberus funded education idea, particularly if they were sending her to the galactic equivalent of Princeton or Cambridge (graduate/medical program?). A chance to be around equals and do something a bit normal. 18-19 year old Miranda would love them for it.

I overlooked that one.  I like it. This would also be a good place to hone her spy skills.

If someone does not know Eceal, then they live under a rock. She is so famous here it's not even funny.

I'd have a relationship with Miri in RL. I'd slowly changer her thinking though. You can see her change her outlook in ME2 anyway.

But Shin, changing someone is not what a relationship is about no? Surely you accept people for what and who they are yes?

Change her, she is not who you fell in love with anymore?

Almost certainly everyone here, including you and me, would be beneath her notice. As for changing her outlook, why is it that everyone deceives him- oder herself into believing this is possible, especially for a character with a defined and reflected outlook.

@ Buddha: I think that last part is incorrect. We really don't know how much is involved in controlling Threshers as well as testing the effects of their venom or converting and maintaining docile Creepers. I think all the things you mentioned are both difficult and technically challenging. Also Miranda had a fair ammount of knowledge about those other projects and what it took to complete them it seems.

There is no need to control the Maws. All one needs to do is put a distress beacon near one to get someone attacked and you have your specimen. It wouldn't be too difficult for cerberus' commandos to extract the specimen after the attack since the Maw no longer had the element of surprise, which is a big part of why they're so dangerous.

Creepers are never docile but they can be easily contained by barriers or blown to pieces. We saw that they were studied out in the open on colonies and contained in cells in the labs in ME.

All those things I mentioned are what Mordin would call brute force research. It requires many resources but it's not challenging. And TIM doesn't care about what resources he has to use, only about the results.

As for Miranda knowing about Cerberus' screw ups, it seems to me logical that information about cells that have been terminated would be available to higher ranking members. Especially if those cells were to then be conviniently labeled as "rogue" by TIM.

For all we know, he might even have sent Miranda herself to terminate those "rogue" cells once they proved useless to him. What better way to improve her loyalty than tell her that she would be doing the right thing, shutting down those "evil people" who did bad things and "went well beyond what his directives allowed".

Again, TIM isn't stupid. Just think about every (very plausible) justification he gave Shep to destroy the collectors when all he really wanted was the base.

Eh, I still don't agree on the difficulty of the research...the stuff about TiM and his justifications I can roll with.

And you can't change anyone, though they might change themselves for reasons that are a good bit more complex than falling in love.

I do believe I have accidentally romanced Liara. Should I go ahead and romance Miranda anyway or romance someone else and make my next Shep "faithful" to her?

Do what feels natural? I don't know why, but in ME1 I always feel drawn to Liara for some reason.

Mostly I am worried about screwing up my chance for a happy ending in ME3. No real interest in what happens long-term with the romances, but I want a happy ending for Shepard and Miranda.

Enjoy your books, MA. You have a lot to read, don't you?
