Would anyone mind me posting a rather unpleasant Miranda hypothetical question?

What's TWC? Personally, I just go to www.cnet.com, look up Routers and Modems and look for the best on the market. Like I said before, Netgear and Linksys are the best. I personally go to a local retail like Best Buy and purchase the router/modem.

I don't want to sound rude or anything but this is a easy problem to fix.

I'm looking into it.

Also, what adaptor do you have for your Xbox?

Let's say part of ME3 involves taking down TIM. The player is given the option of making Miranda the new "Illusive Woman." You know under her leadership that things like Teltin and Akuze won't be tolerated, and the alternative is probably going to be ME-style business as usual. But running Cerberus means she has to end the romance because it's a full time job. You can't have both. What would you choose? What would she prefer?

If you have the money to buy a new router it is. If so, it's also a good idea to look for the "xbox live compatible" emblem on the box. I know the Netgear I have has it and I've never had a problem with LIVE or the internet in general. It's leagues better than the Belkin I had before.

But for all we know, it could be something unrelated to the router. There could be magnetic interference, for one. I mean, something like his telephone or microwave could be screwing up his signal. It's impossible for us to say really.

Also, I think he's using the Xbox wireless adapter which I've heard some pretty mixed things about. I saved my money and just hook up to my laptop and use it as an adapter. Super easy, not to mention free. And I've never had any problems.

Heh... thought you decided to serenade us with poetry for a second Image IPB

How do you connect through the laptop?  I would gladly try this to see if it clears up the issue.

She would prolly like to lead Cerberus and I think that under the correct leadership that Cerberus could do a lot for the Galaxy as a whole. I would let the romance go for the greater good...

At the end of the day Shepard needs to have some sort of power base because given past circumstance a lot of people don't want to help him out. He would need someone he could trust and count on to do the right thing. Miranda is it...as much as it would suck I feel like its the right move to make.

@Kab: I usually play Xbox in my basement where all my Internet stuff and my PC is set up. So, I use the ethernet cable directly connected to the router, best connection possible. However I occasionally set my Xbox up on my HDTV on the first floor of my house, and here I need an adapter. The adapter I use is a Madcatz N Router (i think that's the name, it's like a mini-router that acts as an adapter). This adapter works very well but I get much better connection with the ethernet cable and the adapter connections get really shoddy when more of my family uses up the Internet at the same time.

@Meg: All true. Couldn't have said it better. There are always factors geez... XD

Also, with an organization like Cerberus...it can never truly disappear. Someone would eventually come along and take over and that someone might not be the nicest person with folks' best interests in mind. Having someone that Shepard knows in charge would be the safest and most beneficial way as well as perhaps the most unpopular decision.

Me to. I couldn't live with everything that would happen otherwise. Of course, the romantic in me insists on a final night together.

The more I think about it, the more I'd like to see a dilemma like that in game. It's very Casablanca. Only problem is that I can't come up with similar "greater good or love" scenarios for anyone else except Tali.

I'm going to try the laptop trick first I think.  The new Xbox adapter or any router costs 100 or so dollars and waiting to see IF TWC has a netgear til Monday would probably drive me insanse Image IPB

Because of her connection to the admiralty?

It really depends on how you want to spin it. Miranda's father, for all we know, could be a political leader in the Alliance. Perhaps taking him out creates a huge power vacuum and Miranda could step in to help Shepard stabilize the Alliance before the Reapers arrive. But that might be stretching it too far, just throwing ideas out there.

@Kab: I PMed you with instructions. I hope you can get it to work. Let me know if you need any help.

@Badger: Yeah, exactly. Two people can have the exact same equipment, but if one tiny setting is different it could make setting something up or getting something to work for that person a real pain in the ass while the other person has no trouble at all.

Meg did you read my sloppy first chapter, just want feedback from a good writer. It's been ten years since I wrote a story. Your fanfiction with Rath is fantastic.

@Kab: You can just go to your local Best Buy or something and get your Netgear there. Seems better than dealing with the BS this TWC is making you go through. Didn't they get you in this situation in the first place? XD

Yep, admiralty.

We appear to be the only two people interested in the question. What can I say I'm a sucker for a tragic romance that ends for the "right" reason. I'd cry for a week and start up again.

I'm flattered that you all seem to think we write so well, but I don't think we're anything above average, to be honest. I've seen much better stories by jtav, Ieldra, Kab, etc. But thank you just the same.

I'll take a look at it right now though and PM you with my feedback.

You all write good, but Kab is busy with this router and Jtav is so busy making new fan fictions and I don't realy talk to Ieldra, and I love your writing Meg.

@Meg: Indeed. I'm just lucky I have the best setup possible. My internet used to go out all the time. Now it runs seamlessly and it's so fast. Cell phone service though is a different story XD My house is on the end of the street where it's at the bottom of a mini valley of sorts of the hill my development is built on, so at best I get 1-2 bars at my house, and more often just 1 bar lmao.
