Why don't you do one on Jacobs, that is so easy it's not even funny. All the romances have flaws but none are realy bad unlike Jacob. The priiiiiiiiize.

Then I'd have to play it. Actually, it should be easy enough to make him interesting. He was a Corsair and fought on Eden Prime. I will never understand how the writers screwed up that kind of potential. I've already gutted the script for Miranda's romance. Why not Jacob's?

Well my best friends parents never officially married...but they have been living together for 30+ years and raised a bunch of kids and own a house together.  The practical difference in that situation is negligible. 

And yet the symbolic difference significant. I'll have to wait to elaborate on this since I just came back from roleplaying and it's late, but I also think that Miranda will probably not marry. She may want children or she may not - that she's taken such pains to give Oriana a normal family does not, in any way, imply that she wants to be a mother herself. Only that *if* she wants children, she'll take great pains to treat them differently than she herself was treated. One thing that I can never see her doing is giving up her work.

I'll elaborate on this tomorrow. Good night.
