Night Ieldra.

I want Miranda to have kids, partly for thematic value. The cycle is broken. She doesn't become part of a dynasty, but a family. She's secure enough about her genes that she feels like she can pass them on, etc. But I don't see kids for years yet. By my count, she has at least thirty years to decide. No rush.

Night Ieldra, Darth and Andy.

@Jtav: That would make for a satisfying happy ending. I don't see her having kids for a couple years too.

@Vyn. It really would. While a RL Miranda could have plenty of reasons for not having children, it would really read like the fictional one was spiting her father. Having a planned and hoped for child pretty well implies she's dealt with her issues. There'd a reason my imaginary epilogue is her embracing her young daughter and whispering "Mommy's home." But she may be in her 50s or 60s when she has that daughter.

Remember Jtav, humans can live longer in the ME universe and Miranda even says she will live longer then normal humans, and so will Shepard since he he is a heavy duty cyborg. Having a kid when they are in there 50s or 60s IMO is the perfect time to have kids. Hell they are both in there 30s and still look good.

Aw...I mean-*shakes head*
Ahem.
Makes you wonder if she will doubt her abilities as a mother after all her father put her through and the fact that she never had one. I have a feeling that as she grows closer to Oriana, her sister would help her with that.

We don't know about Shep. He may age at a normal human rate. But Miranda ages at 2/3 speed. We know it's not uncommon for women to delay having children until past forty. So having a child at 60 would be fine, even preferable for Miranda. She may be fertile until her 80s (late 50s)

Mostly I'm reacting to fanfics that have them having kids within a year or so post ME3. Huh?

I am just going by what's happen to him. Since he has already died and he HAS alot of tech in him, Shep will most likely live alot longer then 150, like Miranda will. Both have had there genetic makeup messed around with and in Sheps place he has cyborg parts and I still think he has Reaper bits in him.

Like I keep saying, it's her past and immediate future I see as rough. I think she was abused, and I think she has problems with trust, self-esteem and empathy because of that abuse. But she's not doomed. She's strong enough that she can overcome those problems. I'm a big believer in earning your happy ending. Have you guys ever noticed I put her through hell, but I never leave her there?

Though I still like my "Illusive Woman" bittersweet idea.
