Because in most of their imaginations they think Quarians look like Elves.  Totally nonsensical and illogical, but then what do you expect from the Talimancers?

Looking over my list, I wonder if I should be surprised or disturbed that I occasionally hear Bastila's voice when reading Miranda's dialogue?

Come to think of it, Hale would have made a great Miranda if she wasn't already voicing Shepard. (Yvonne's still great, especially for her VA debut)
