I don't think I've ever called Miranda that either. I suppose I find it easier to type Miranda since I've been doing the transcripts...jtav wrote...
Just noticed, I almost never call Miranda "Miri" on the thread. Wonder why?
Me too. I avoid it on purpose. Calling her "Miri" in discussions about her feels like inappropriate familiarity she wouldn't encourage, and anyway it's the Shepard I play, not me, who's in love with her. I could not call her "Miri" without feeling I disrespect her.jtav wrote...

No. I found it terribly sweet when I was recording it...jtav wrote...
I think you may be on to something Ieldra.
I've been going through gutty's transcripts and I'm not sure what it says about me that I think the second sweetest moment in the romance behind "no promises" is the option to call it off in the same covo. Something about the whole "Until then...friends" and holding hands is more tender than most of the actual romance. Am I weird?

I have....and I have used pet names, too. But never when talking about someone, only when talking to that person. The only exception has been my sister, and she'd been insisting that we stop until we did.Maviarab wrote...

That's the impression I also get. I think Miranda's father is the type to kill his failed "experiments", and Miranda was running away because she discovered what had happened to her sisters, by this action being tagged as failed by her father. Things like this - being killed because of failing to meet certain criteria - aren't unheard of even today.jtav wrote...
in all seriousness, it seems to be a pretty common theory that among certain groups that Miranda stole Oriana to spite her father. Where does that even come from?
Just a point of interest: Miranda says that Oriana was created to "replace" her. I now think her life was in imminent danger when she ran away. Every time I read the loyalty mission dialog, I get a little more creeped out.
