Not even her skills as an actress?  Pity.  They are quite impressive.

My interpretation of the War Hero background takes a lot from Horatio at the bridge, Leonidas at Thermopylae and other such last ditch scenarios. Basically, he's the last guy you want to be facing when his back is against the wall, because in those circumstances the rule book goes out the window. If there is a nasty trick or trap or whatever that will do the enemy damage, be it physical or psychological - he'll do it. If that means always sniping the first/lead person in a group and shooting the second in the gut so they'll die screaming, he'll do it. If maiming the enemy buys him more time and scares them even more, he'll do it.
As far as my War Hero Shepard goes, if what he actually did on Elysium got out, he would probably get the same sort of infamy that Ruthless Shepard has.

So... only what's on the scoreboard matters, eh?

Well, what do you know, Paragon Shep just might've seen that South Park episode.

Grr. I'm trying to do my "canon" Shep runthrough, but the face creator is stopping me. He looks like a deformed frog. Can't get the jaw and mouth right. *cries*

Perhaps you'd like to try one of mine and continue sculpting from there:

632.M7F.JHD.I3G.9AP.94I.HRA.6FM.MK8.9K2.857.5
632.JAH.NGI.931.L8N.G4M.ILG.1QL.L86.4R2.837.6 or 5

Ah, and if it's ME1: use the codes for a new ME2 character, screenshot the sliders and recreate in ME1.

@ Cyclops- in part, but more like good really does not equal nice. I've tried to play pure paragon, but it's just not in me. Pretty much every character I've played has a vicious or ruthless streak in them somewhere. In some cases, its close to the surface or their defining feature, in others it takes work for it to surface.

Well that's something at least! Image IPB

But wait if you are so indifferent to her skills as a voice actress why are you a fan of the character she portrayed?  Did you like Miranda despite being completely uninterested and indifferent to her performance?

A great way to look at it, just like Ruthless =/= total jerk.

To me, they are two completely different "people" (wrong word to use, but I can't come up with anything better atm)? I just see the character...not the person behind them when I play. Don't know if that makes any sense, kinda strange I know.

I'll assume you didn't see that South Park episode. It wasn't meant to be a serious comment.

I couldn't play pure Paragon either, eh.   I let Garrus and Toombs do their thing  in ME1 and I let the hostages die so I could off Balak.

Lucky hindsight, I guess, since I just can't see a pure Paragon *not* fighting with Miranda and just about the whole Cerberus crew every 5 seconds...

A (very?) light Jack Bauer sounds about right, imo.

MA - I like to think that the difference between the two is that one does bad things for good reasons, and the other does good things for bad reasons. Which is which I leave up to you. ;)

Well they are completely different people.  She is an actress that is what she does.

Fight about what exactly?  They put Shepard in charge and do whatever he says.

Shepard: "WIll you just stop going on and on about how Cerberus is misunderstood and awesome????!!!"

Miranda: "I don't actually..."

Shepard: "Subtext!!! All the time!!!"

*Shep goes off on the Paragon equivalent rampage. Lecturing people about ethics and how cheaters shouldn't prevail. Or something.*

I would drool over Yvonne, but only if I were above her and fairly close. Of course, actually being around her would mean the possibility of getting to know her and ruin my infatuation. Then I'd have to find someone else to potentially drool over if close and above them.

I guess I never got the impression Paragon Shep was an inflexible follower of principles that he tries to force everybody to conform to.  He seems more about compassion for others.  Somebody who lectures people all the time makes for a pretty crappy leader which Shepard is not.

There are some moments when "Professor Shepard" takes the helm that make me /facepalm. Some Paragon choices make him lecture his ass off.

Yeah the Mordin mission was a real groaner.

Fortunately those moments are rather rare.

The 'cheaters shouldn't prevail' was meant to convey this part was a joke. ;)

I'm just saying MIranda defending Cerberus at every turn would  irk a Paragon Shep. Big time.  Even worse for a Sole Survivor. I could see a Shep indulging  rare petty urges and bench her out of spite during a few of the earlier missions.

Just so we're clear, I *did* bring Miranda about anywhere because of of her awesome her pre-Loyalty talents and how hilariously condescending some of her lines are.  Never had much in-game use for Jacob, but story-wise, it makes sense Shep would focus on him and try turn him on Cerberus.

It didn't irritate my Paragon Shep at all because that is who she is and what she believes in and he understands that.  He leads by example and hopes others will follow.  There is no better way, from his perspective, to turn people against you than try to convince them they are wrong, it is always best to show them.

He is a bit of an idealist you see.
