I actually wouldn't mind if she died in ME3, as long as it wasn't cheap or contrived.
I'd bloody mind! Perhaps it's just me, but aren't you a little sick of the heroic sacrifices and bittersweet farewells that are going around like the flu these days? Doesn't Shepard (to say nothing of Miranda) deserve a happy ending? I mean, people die; I get that. I actively chose not to look up how to beat the collecters casualty-free until after I'd done the mission, and to accept any deaths without reloading to take a mulligan. And let me tell you, when those bugs carried off Garrus, it
hurt. But... I dunno. Maybe I'm just a romantic. All I'm saying is, if your LI gets killed off in ME3 without there being some way to foresee and prevent it, I am not going to be a happy camper.

I became a HUGE fan of the show thanks to Yvonne Strahovski's great portrayal of Miranda,
But yes I am totally with you. I definitely identified alot of Miranda in Sarah when I started watching Chuck. Obviously they are not perfectly matched but close enough. And just like you the Miranda character appealed to me emotionally and that was why I suddenly became interested in who it was who did the VA.
I came in from the other side - I was a
Chuck fan before I played ME2. I picked up ME1 at launch and loved it, but after seeing what executive meddling by the new bosses did to Dragon Age my enthusiasm for ME2 was pretty much killed. I didn't even realize there was any overlap until I fired it up for the first time and went "hey, she looks a hell of a lot like...".
Let me ask you this, did you start
Chuck from the beginning? The similarities are a lot more obvious. And you really need to buy the DVDs (or Blu-Ray, if that's your preference), if you haven't. As great as the show is as a series of stand-alone episodes, it really comes to life when watched as a body.
But I digress. Ahem: MIRANDA 4 LIFE!
