Oh, for the love of God, can we go one entire day on this forum without some thread or other devolving into an argument about which characters are coming back? At this rate, I'm not going to care whether Miranda returns. As long as the game is more coherent than KOTOR II, I'm pretty sure I'm going to enjoy it no matter who's in my party. Can we wait until we actually know something before arguing?
Sorry, lost it for a bit.
It won't happen, ME fans say ME2 characters should get cameos, ME2 fans then argue and then it turns into a land slide.

Wrex's cameo was probably the best in ME2 but if they didn't bother to include more info about things like Akuze I don't know how they will handle it in ME3. I'm in the same boat as you regarding Miranda's role. She's different from the other LI's in that she's independent and doesn't rely on Shepard so much and I'd like her to stay that way.
I want Wrex in my party
one of the only reasaons why I will suffer ME gameplay, just to have Wrex in my party

I don't know. I guess it was a little unexpected. Imo, you don't seem much like her.jtav wrote...
Why so surprised, Vyn? I actually have very little in common with Miranda except for hair color and gender. We'd despise each other in real life.
@Kraidy: Yeah, Wrex was awesome. "If I die in here, I'll kill him"

"Don't ****** in my ear and tell me it's raining"
Steve Barr did such a fantastic job.

@Kraidy: Well, the synthesizers helped too.

@Jtav: Oops, missed your edit. I have a lot in common with her and not just the physical traits like hair color. Probably why she is my favorite female character in the game.

Steve Barr in fact does have a very deep voice. All they did was add some gruffness to his voice to give it that Krogan sound.

@Vyn: Tali and I are about the same age. If you think about it, she suffers a pretty horrible disability, though a completely different one from mine. We're both geeks.etc. I have a strange relationship with Miranda. I like her as a character, not a person. Probably explains the hell I put her through. And yet, I want to see her happy.

If Miranda ever utters anything remotely resembling "I couldn't let you go" I'm going back through ME2 and kill her off. It's a kinder death. My Shep might say it, but Miranda would tell him to stop being a fool.

I exepect Miranda to say something that hints I love you. Not those words but something.

@Jtav: Haha! Here's hoping she doesn't say that then. I see your point about Tali. I was thinking more about her personality traits. Miranda is around twice my age and yet we're very similar. I found it a little weird when I first played it.

Vyn: I was so thrilled to see an intelligent, complex, and independent female character that nothing else mattered. And the thing with her sister, *sniff*

Still lets say there is one choice where you sacerfice your self, I would expect to see a very emoitnal Miranda.

Am I the only one who's curious about why Miranda and Jacob broke up? I think he's still in love with her and that she cares for him in her own way. She wouldn't defy TIM for just anyone. I think he wanted more from her than she was willing to give, but it's just a theory. That, or Jacob Desperately Looking for a Purpose in Life bothered her.
I am not even sure they were together much less that they broke up. It could have been a one night thing for all I know.

I did like the other LI's but Miranda stood out since she was the only one who could hold her own. Like Samara said, she doesn't share her burdens with anyone except when it came to Oriana. She is also the only female who didn't need to be saved in some way by Shepard.

I see Miranda as kind of becoming a blank slate by the end of ME2. She's a diehard Cerberus loyalist at the beginning because she thinks Cerberus and its way of operating is the only way to protect humanity. Being a part of Shepherd's team for a few months (weeks?) makes her question that assumption. I'm not a big fan of drawing too many comparisons between Sarah Walker and Miranda character-wise, but Miranda at the end of ME2 is a lot like Sarah at the end of season 1. Both start out mission driven (Miranda as a Cerberus op, Sarah trying to clean up Bryce's mess) and meet a guy who changes their perceptions of the world. In Shepherd's case, being an open-ended character, Shepherd either shows her there's a way to make omelettes without breaking too many eggs (Paragon) or there's a way to get things done in a brutally direct fashion without resorting to all the sneaking about and shady operations that Cerberus specializes in (Renegade). I think there's a lot of room for character growth in ME3 for Miranda in either case and I would really like to see the idea of Miranda reinventing and rediscovering herself explored further.

And she will remain a total badass I don't think there is any question. If she does have any soft and squishy moments it will be in private just like before.
