Hey, just coming in from the Kaiden thread to offer my support. Miranda was my favorite female character in ME2. She was calm, complex, and determined. I definitely want her in ME3.
Aww Miri hug for you^_^

Indeed. I'm also getting sick of heroic sacrifices and bittersweet ending scenarios - it's almost as if people didn't want their heroes to live on. This kind of ending hasn't been often implemented in games, so I wouldn't mind if it was possible as an option. But it's probably the last ending I'd use. I liked the Morrigan ending in DAO because it leaves possibilities open while preserving her independence. But Miranda dieing, no, I don't want that to happen and would be very unhappy if I couldn't prevent it.icarus414 wrote...

I'd bloody mind! Perhaps it's just me, but aren't you a little sick of the heroic sacrifices and bittersweet farewells that are going around like the flu these days? Doesn't Shepard (to say nothing of Miranda) deserve a happy ending? I mean, people die; I get that. I actively chose not to look up how to beat the collecters casualty-free until after I'd done the mission, and to accept any deaths without reloading to take a mulligan. And let me tell you, when those bugs carried off Garrus, it hurt. But... I dunno. Maybe I'm just a romantic. All I'm saying is, if your LI gets killed off in ME3 without there being some way to foresee and prevent it, I am not going to be a happy camper.

While I agree with that, both are low-level alternatives and not sufficient. I wish you wouldn't always play with fire saying these things. Someone from the wrong places might read it and get ideas about where to cut costs. This is to say: it would still be a disappointment of epic proportion to see Miranda's role reduced, and would severely detract from my enjoyment of ME3. I think I'm speaking for almost everyone here when I say this.jtav wrote...
I like my morally ambiguous superspy, and I would rather have her role reduced than see her defanged.

dont think it will be the case, bioware is moving toward sort of win/win situations, they got quite some complains in me1 as you where forced to sacrifice a comrade regardless what you did, and in me2 we are able to save all our comrade.... i suppose it will be the same in me3 as forcing a death of a popular char over the heads of players is not a very good choice
