I wonder if there's anyone who'd be willing to recollect all the information and plausible speculation about Miranda we collected in our threads. I've been thinking of re-reading the threads myself, but I haven't got the time for that.

Wow, that would be a mammoth task. One I'm not up for myself I must say.

Hey, just coming in from the Kaiden thread to offer my support. Miranda was my favorite female character in ME2. She was calm, complex, and determined. I definitely want her in ME3.

Aww Miri hug for you^_^

Morning all. *is chipper*
Ieldra, I'm pretty sure the devs don't even read support threads. Even if they did, why would they listen to me?

Edit: Provided her character is consistent, I'd rather have her recruitable. I'm not going to pin my hopes on it. That way lies madness and bitterness.

Morning, jtav. You write interesting things on this thread that are usually worth reading, that's why. But yes, they probably don't read support threads beyond the OP, especially not the longer ones that have long sequences of nothing but OP.

I dare hope. If it doesn't happen, I'll post a rant on these forums but madness and bitterness will not result. I'll tell Miranda's story as I would want it in my head instead, and maybe let it inspire a fanfic.

@JK:
Nice find. I like the version in the white outfit best - she has a more realistic chest there. I wonder why people draw women with oversized breasts - as if they were attractive at all. Strange.

it boggles me as well, ieldra.... :?

still nice rendition, apart from that.

i really hope miranda is recruitable in me3 - i think it's more likely than it was with the result of me1->me2 recruits because they don't necessarily have to worry about further continuity, and the way me2 is open-ended. however a lot depends on further dlc content and whatever is planned in 2011, and how that sheapes the beginning of me3. all credit to bioware for making me invested in the characters, then - especially miranda. i'd love to see a happy ending for her and shep.

That's what I'm planning to do ( telling her story in my head). if ME3 doesn't live up to my hopes. Considering that my current dislike of Liara is due almost entirely to the behavior of a small minority of her fans in the wake of ME2, I've decided it's better to maintain a certain emotional distance and to think of things that would make me content in the best case scenario is unavailable. That way, I'll be happy if Miranda's role is larger.

All things considered, it's probably a good thing I'm not a Bioware writer, but if anyone would actually like to see any of my ideas come to pass, I suppose I could ask Darth to add them to the OP.

Hey, everyone, why the hell didn't Miranda and Liara acknowledge each other when I brought MIranda to Illium?

I just found out that those two interacted a lot in the comics. They knew each other. Yet they said nothing. It would've been so cool if they'd had a little exchange.

Especially since I romanced Liara in game one and was romancing Miranda in game two. I mean, that has so much potential for good story conflict! Miranda knows from the events of the comics that Liara's over the moon about Shepard - and now she's also starting to get attracted to Shepard herself? Come on. That's so good, I want to see that.

i don't want to disrespect anyone, but i think the actual impact of the forumites/fans on the directions of the games is minimal, no matter what's said. if anything opinion is probably taken to correlate their own, internal decisions. i doubt anyone from BW wades through threads like these. (that doesn't make them less worthwhile BTW - that's not what i'm saying - a lot of interesting discussion goes on here, for example).

good point - one or two lines would have been good, but you meet liara before miranda really starts to have any feelings for shep, or open up (depending on loyalty mission progress). the comics were crap anyway - idon't consider them canon or a worthy addition to the universe. god only knows how the ongoing series is going to turn out.

I'd say that the main reason is that not everyone has read the comics...if they did have some kind of convo between Liara and Miranda a lot of folks would be scratching their heads in confusion.

I think all we can expect from the comics is not to be entertained, but informed. Knowing what happened is what matters to me, not the comics themselves.

I guess you're right about how meeting Liara comes too early in the game... but it could get brought up later in a conversation with Miranda or something. Maybe slip it in when Miranda's telling you she "doesn't have that fire"?

"... that would make people follow you into hell itself... like with Liara, risking everything just on the sliver of hope she could see you again... funny, at the time I thought she was being foolish, emotional... Now I... I wonder."

And yet, they managed to include Ish.

Could someone give a brief summary of their interaction? I gather they don't get along.

If I remember correctly, you have to have both Jacob and Miranda in your squad...and its just a few lame lines with no substance. Kind of like a little easter egg.

They mention Cerberus's attack on the flotilla - that's enough to make someone who hasn't read Ascension scratch their heads.

And anyway, Liara pretty much summarizes the comics for you when you meet her. The story of her relationship with Miranda would've told itself as soon as they started talking.

jacob has the issues with ish, as Ish's 'intelligence' led jacob into an almost-trap (i assume in galaxy). if you take both jacob and miranda this is apparent (miranda doesn't speak). if you just take miranda, she actually seems ok with the salarian, and greets him in a friendly way, wiht a casual referral to their previous encounter.

No, sorry. I meant Miranda and Liara. I didn't realize they'd interacted in Redemption. It's making my brain whir. I'm getting Ideas... God help us all.

ah but the flotilla attack ties into cerberus' reputation and is, therefore, directly relevant to the main themes of the game, plus it's fairly dramatic and pretty much fully explained in all the scenes it comes up in.

nothing more than miranda thanking liara for rescuing shepard's remains and offering a few words of comfort after losing feron, the drell companion who was a triple agent in the end "he knew the risks" etc. if you wanna laugh - harbinger's dialogue in that issue is awful, and completely out of character.

Yes. No. I think. Wait.

Something about the idea of them interacting in Redemption giving you "ideas" that make your brain whir? And - and God help us all from these "ideas"?

No, wait - wait - maybe my  mind went places it shouldn't have... maybe - maybe I'm   the dirty one - maybe you didn't mean that at all... Now I'm lost and confused and - and self-conscious! I don't know anymore! I don't know!

Damn you, jtav! Damn you!
