Now, I'm curious. What does she say about Urz?

She says something like, "Really?  We're visiting the stray varren in the hospital?"

I also like her line on the collecter ship, when you find the pile of bodies.  If you go with the paragon option she says "Was that supposed to make me feel better?  Because it didn't."

So what do you have to do in order to see it? Keep betting on Urz until he loses a fight?

Vyn, I think I'll need that new title. I'm feeling all:wub:again. Blame the overdramic showtunes I listen to. The only reason I want to torture is so I can fix it later. Separate them for half the game just so I can have the epic reunion, that sort of thing.

Help.

What showtunes? And I still can't think of anything clever for you :?

New recording of Finian's Rainbow. Cue big grin from me.

I want a happy ending, but I want some major obstacles first. Like I said, my first instinct is to initially separate them because she's on the run from Cerberus, but I don't think that's a popular idea.

Hm, not familiar with that. I just know the popular ones like Rent and West Side Story. Was forced to take a musical theatre class a couple years ago. Yes, we need drama in order to make the happy ending seem satisfying.

My favorite Bioware romance is Bastila's. Talk about a payoff. "I love you too, with all my heart." *swoon* I want something like that. I don't care what emotional hell I have to go through. Makes the happy ending all the sweeter.

I was a little pissed at what happened before the Korriban. So close and then the jawless wonder appeared. Totally set back the interactions <_< Least there was a happy ending for it.

Now that I think about it, I want to see some banter DAO style. Also, Revan's lines were great when he was teasing Bastila. :P

I didn't find most of the teasing all that funny. Too one-sided. Now, the Bastila/Carth banter was fantastic. Both of them gave as good as they got.

I remember being so shocked and devastated when I got to the Rakatan temple. My Revan was actually tempted briefly because she was offering him (a mockery of) everything he ever wanted. I was so thrilled when I redeemed her. Dammit, Bioware! I want that roller coaster of emotions, and I want it with Miranda! I don't care what you have to put her or Shepard through. Hit me with your best shot. I dare you.

As much as I want a happy ending, I don't think it is the way it can end for Jack Shepard and Miranda. Part of me wants them to go out guns/biotic powers blazing. Either that or the (just as cliche) LI dies and then Hero follows suit after killing all the bad guys. Granted I think if they account for some of the stuff in ME2 being relative to ME3 chances, that and Jack's general persona (cerberus guarddog/humanity first renegade soldier) then the odds on survival might be slim.

Way I see it, besides a happy ending we definitly need a 'True Warrior' ending. I think it's a combination of me being engrossed in '24' at moment and also yesterday watching the 'Launch Trailer' again and the line where Shep says "We have to give everything, even if that means our lives, we will stop at nothing, we will fight for the lost!" (only in the trailer) I think that line needs to carry through to ME3, because the stakes are most definitly going to be higher.

Edit: Actually due to the fact Jack chose to keep the base and Miri not being sure, I'd love to see them play on that doubt and maybe a big ass reaper attack on a colony causing Miri more doubt that they can survive this... so that I can have Jack saying the following line.

[i]"Dammit Miranda! You know me, you know what I can do, have faith in me now... course your all I got left and I promise that I will do my best to ensure we get through this!"

For me, his lines were more about changing his character from his former alias as the Dark Lord of the Sith. That's why I found it funny and Bastila's reactions were cute. Carth was great too. Ever see what they say on Korriban in a modded PC game?

Oh, yes. "Don't mind this one. He drools." Why couldn't she have been that snarky in the romance?

But, yes, I want a little melodrama with my ME3 romance. Sue me. Just a little, though. I don't want them making each other miserable. My rule is that romance should generally make you happier. It's the external things that I want to go wrong. None of this "I can't live without you" crap. This isn't Twilight.

Yeah, that's the one I had in mind

Meh, she was too busy trying not to fall to the dark side. Lot of good that did her.

Yeah

You actually have to click on Urz in the hospital after he loses a fight. I recommend doinf it with every character. It's one of the few spots in the game where you can get the various crew's thoughts on the same subject. Brief as it is, it's as close to banter as you get in ME2.

I'm trying to think of a suitably epic capstone for the romance in ME3. Preferably one DOESN'T hinge on Miranda being absent from the party for a large stretch of the game. I nearly got tossed out of the thread over that cameo idea.

@Kraidy: QFT

@Jtav: Haha! I always miss these things.

Yep. I think we were using different definitions of the word. What I want is probably best termed a guest-starring role. But perhaps I should just leave my "Miranda spends a long period away from the Normandy working on her own" idea for fic. I think that's why am so hung up on my "Illusive Woman" idea. I want Miranda to end up exercising power and agency in her own right, not just as Shep's second.

And, If anybody has any ideas on how I can get the above and still have Miranda on the team...

A fic? I want to see that. Must come up with a way to make that work and keep Miranda on the team.

Well, I've just discovered that insinuating that Miranda is incompetent and slept her way to the top is a good way to ****** me off. Call her ruthless, call her evil, call her a monster, and I don't care. But the woman is nothing if not scarily intelligent and competent

Did you make a joke about that in your fic? Pre-edit?
